When it comes to fashion

B. Make your own rules, it's totally acceptable to wear Damier Ebene in the spring/Summer or Azur in the Winter. There's no rule book that states these bags are only seasonal bags.

THANK YOU. I never understood why people do this.

Oh believe me, I'm the first person to say there are no fashion rules. I agree there are none. :D My question was not one of if it's allowed, I am not a follower thank you very much. I just thought it looked odd/"heavy" for some reason when I put a summer top on yesterday. I wanted to see pics. I just need ideas on if it can pull together and look "fresh" and not too heavy... if that makes sense. I was considering the Westminster or some other shoulder bag, but it just looks so NOT summery like all that dark trim would absorb the heat and be odd-looking to carry.

here is one for you....Eva...

I have no problem wearing azur in the winter... however now that I'm thinking about spring :) I can't seem to imagine carrying a dark ebene bag in the spring/summer. What ebene bags do you wear in hot weather? Any pictures? I can envision an Eva because it's so little with lots of gold too but I'm having trouble imagining a shoulder bag or crossbody bag in hot weather - any thoughts/pics? Thanks!!

I posted a couple pics for you to check out...I would have no problem wearing any Ebene in Summer...your Bloomie would be great imho;)

Oh my gosh thank you!!!!! I knew the Eva would look good ~ but that Speedy looks fantastic too. :D I think my best bet for a 'shoulder' bag might be a NF or something instead of a Westminster or Saleya etc... something that seems a little more casual ~ I'm definitely a casual girl. :graucho:

It was the Bloomie I couldn't get to look quite right.. but I think now I just need some colorful summer clothes instead of my boring summer wardrobe, lol. Thanks again!

Yet you posted a thread to see if others carry Ebene in the hotter months. If that were true this thread wouldn't have been made cause as a "Leader" you already know bags don't have a certain season and Ebene in top handle, shoulder or messenger would do fine in hotter months.

WTH????? When did people get so defensive on this forum????

Anyhoo . . .

I think it depends on the bag and the outfit. I don't particularly like to carry my Verona MM in the Summer. It is big, brown and heavy and the straps are thick. They don't really work on a hot sticky bare shoulder. But I look forward to carrying my Bloomsbury in the summer. The Speedy looks very nice in summer too. I like Ebene in summer, especially given the likelihood of summer thunderstorms/downpours.

Lol oh honey ~ I'm a mother of 2 in my 40's (I'm guessing by your posts MUCH older than you) I am quite past following any "trends"... just curious about how others make dark ebene look more summery ~ if you have no desire to bounce ideas around, chat with other purse-lovers, and already think you know everything... why in the world are you on the Purse Forum?

--if you don't like my thread and have nothing helpful to contribute then just 'move along'. :p Thanks.

Maybe that's why I'm getting an icky feeling about it! Those thick dark straps and I'm imagining my halters and tanks and the sun heating them up!... hmmm~ thanks! I'll keep trying on the Bloomie to see what's comfortable and still looks 'light and fresh' :D I think a hand-held would be great though I'm going to think about that some more.
