I do have multiples of designers leathers but different styles. And multiples of a particular style in several leathers. Some of the designers are too smart offering limited leathers and colors! Balenciaga and Belen Echandia are two of my faves. And Chanel.

If I loved the bag enough, then yes, I would buy two of the exact same bag. Also, as long as bag isn't too expensive, I would do it. It's just a backup, just in case my first bag falls apart. However, if the bag was more than $1k, I probably wouldn't buy another one. So far, I haven't bought two of the same bag yet, but I have done that for clothes and shoes. I recently bought a RM MAM in navy blue, and it's so functional and cute that I might have to go out and buy another!

Yes, but they were less than $200 each. I bought them because I liked one that much that I was willing to buy a backup bag to enjoy it longer since there was Papa John's garlic butter dip spilled on it (by a mystery someone), staining it permanently. It turns out though that I did not need to buy another one as the stains have now blended in with the tanned red leather through use outdoors. I ended up giving the newer one away to my SO's mother because a buyer backed out of the sale, and I was tired of trying to sell it. :>(

I almost bought a second black Miu Miu Bow bag because I loved it so much. They sold out of the silver hardware before I could but I would have. I do have duplicate pairs of shoes because I hit on a particular color/style I wanted a backup of. :smile1:

My tastes change so much, that if I ever did buy a 'back-up bag', then by the time the first one wears out, I'll probably not like it any more. The ONLY item I buy the exact same ones over and over are bras :D I found one style that fit perfectly and threw all my others away. I only have different colors...but they are all the same. Shoes make sense though. I am hard on shoes.

I have done it so I guess I can be considered "crazy".
I have two 2005 Balenciaga Works in Turquoise and at one point I had two white webbed Gucci Blondie bowlers and two black Gucci Blondie bowlers.
I only do this for my absolute favorite bags.

I bought a LAMB bag which was on offer for £93 and now its on sale for £63. I doubt I'd ever see the same offer again in the UK since we dont have that brand here much. Would it be crazy if I bought same bag again? I absolutley love it and the style is perfect (if that justifies it)

Are you sure that by the time the first one wears out you won't be ready to move on to another design? If you are certain you will still love the bag it doesn't seem too big an investment to buy the second one. Just make sure it is because of the bag and not the price. I've been toying with the idea of buying a duplicate of a bag because I love it, and it is only available from 1 source that has already clearanced it.
