I actually ended up exchanging it. I got to my hotel and I noticed some creasing. I contacted my SA in Paris and he located another one for me in another store so I went the day after and exchanged it - it took a bit to locate a pristine one because it seems this model gets creasing if handled roughly...

I don't really care as long as it doesn't look like it's been manhandled.
I've insisted on getting a display item before when I preferred something such as pattern placement.
+1 I just bought a display item the other day. It actually looked better than the one they had in the back.
My biggest concern about display items is how many hours it has spent sitting under/over a display light...I've handled a few display bags that felt a bit too warm for my liking, I'd be slightly concerned about the canvas integrity.
With that said, if upon inspection nothing is wrong with it, and it's a hard to find item that I wouldn't be able to get my hands on otherwise, I wouldn't mind purchasing a display item.

I just took a display home today. I wasn't planning on buying a bag. I thought I was picking up a repair but it wasn't able to be done so I needed to exchange for something today. I would have preferred a choice of 2 but that was not in the cards for me. I was offered to have them order a bag for me, but I wasn't unhappy enough with the display to go through the hassle.
As long as I’ve checked it thoroughly and it’s the only one left and I absolutely love it and want it, then I don’t mind.
A lot of items are not on the floor for long before they are sold and replaced. So as long as the item is perfect for me, I don’t care.
Some of my SLG were floor display, and took them. My Pocket Organizer in damier cobalt is one of them. It was the only one and seem hard to find in LA. It was in perfect condition and took it on the spot since I wanted it badly that time.
My empreinte noir PM was a display item and while I was waiting for assistance a man was looking it over along with some other items for his wife. I bought the display bag and it's perfect!
Also my Taigarama PO was on display, I walked in, saw it and when I was appointed an SA she handed it over, I held it for 30 seconds and purchased it!

my first Chanel flap was from a store display. it is the only black left and i don't like other colors. if it looks pristine and flawless, i'd take it.
