Black Friday at Woodbury Commons is not for the faint of heart. I've sworn to never return. Be prepared for throngs of people and lines to get into stores. Arrive early, especially if your target is high-end stores, because most of the stock will be depleted and/or picked over. Parking is horrible and it will take at least an hour to exit the parking lot. You've been warned :p. Happy Shopping!

True!!! I've never attempted to go black friday but my friends have. I've gone some other holiday weekends and it was a disaster. Best time is during the week in the mornings.

I ADORE Woodbury Commons but I don't think you could pay me to go there on Black Friday (and most other holidays). It's plain madness. The stores have their own random sales so if you have a few in mind, call them first and then plan your trip.

I was trying to explain to my BF how I save $$ by buying at Woodbury Commons even though I have to pay $40 for the bus trip from Port Authority. He didn't understand it. He thinks it's just more $$ I'm spending. LOL! Apparently, we do math differently.

Black Friday at Woodbury Commons is also called Midnight Madness. They open at 12:00am on Friday morning, Yes 12am, and it is a COMPLETE nightmare! The traffic just getting there is enough to scare you away, forever.
Sleep in and go another day.

I recommend checking out the Woodbury Commons website before you plan a trip there. They are usually really good about posting (and updating) individual store sales on their site, including dates and deals. If you don't see the store you were looking for, don't hesitate to call them up and ask. I know at the higher end stores, that the SA's will let you know the current deals over the phone.

Uh-oh... Just writing about it makes me want to plan a trip there soon... :D

Oh, by most people's definition, I am a hardcore shopper. However, the traffic on Black Friday alone is enough to turn me off. Perhaps I'd feel differently if someone else would drive for a change. And I must say...waiting a half hour in line to pay isn't exactly appealing, either :p

I like "hard core shopper" also! I usually just tell my friends that I have "good shopping karma." :D
