i went this weekend. i took the bus from port authority. they have a deal on the website- buy one get one free. so it was 20 per round trip ticket (40 total). the bus was supposed to leave at 11:30. i literally ran through the entire bus terminal (who knew i could run so fast?) and got there at 11:30 and the bus had been dispatched about 5-10 minutes before. we waited about 20 min or so before they loaded us in to the next bus. so basically, know that they will send out the buses possibly before they are scheduled to if they have enough people and get there with plenty of time (unlike me).

there were some pretty good deals- saks was having buy one get one half off for president's day and i got a st john dress for under 50 dollars and a sj sweater for my mom for 20. i also got a nanette lepore jacket from last call that i debated when it was full price for under 100 from 350. there were a lot of stores with lines like ugg, gucci and coach.

join the shoppers club on the woodbury commons website and you can print up a coupon for a free coupon book. most of the time you can't use them and a lot of the stores you would want coupons for they don't have but it's still good to have just in case.

i didn't go in to most places because we got very shopped out very fast but it was still fun, as always. dvf was having a big sale- everything was an additional 20% off in store and the dresses i had looked at a few weeks before were even cheaper. and they had (limited sizes) loubous! i never noticed before!

anyway i am curious to see if other people went and what they got!

I did not go this week-end, I live around 20 minutes from there. It can be very hit or miss. Coach very rarely has the bags with the cc logo's as we are too close to the NYC and the major stores there. Week-ends are the worst, very quiet during the week. It is an open area mall and very cold/windy and things can be quite far apart dress warm.
Channel has been a disappointment for awhile now.
Sign up for the vip club and you can print out a coupon book, also there are some coupons you can print out from that site that are not in the book. Calvin Klein is one that comes to mind.

I was there on Friday and got 5 Brighton Handbags for $29.99 each and 2 wallets for $9.99 each. That is like 80-90% off. They sold out within 1 hour of the store opening, but I was there first. YEAH!!!

Yes live in New City for around 34 years now. Where in Orange are you?
Was being honest about Woodbury, so cold this time of year. Also think the real bargains are not as good as they once were...too many people and outlets now make special goods just for the outlets vs what they carry in the higher end stores KWIM

I live in Washingtonville now. I lived in Dellwood for 20 years and then married someone from Congers and moved up here 12 years ago. I love it here. Very different vibe than Rockland. I still have family in Sparkill.

There is nothing like going to Woodbury on a Monday morning in the spring. I can stroll around for hours. Mostly locals during the week. I also notice the prices change from M-F to Sat-Sun. For example, Northface had jackets for $40 this Friday and the same ones were $60 on Sunday.

I grew up in Nanuet, small world.

I have to agree with you about Woodbury, it's a real hit or miss and they do have too many things just made for the outlets.

Thanks for answering me ! I guess I will have to take a bus but find someone to go with me. I am a little nervous going out in NY alone on a bus. May have to stay overnight since I think the last flight out of JFK to Rdu is around 7 and I want to have time to shop ! Does anyone know of any hotels that are reasonable?

It's too far to take a cab -- especially from JFK! -- and is prohibitively expensive. If you're coming in from either airport you should take the New York Airport Service Bus to Port Authority Bus Station ($21 round trip from LGA, $27 round trip from JFK), then take the Short Line bus from the third floor of the bus station to Woodbury Common (tell them you want the fare without the coupon book, it's $7 cheaper than the regular $39 round trip fare) - you can go to the Woodbury Common web site and sign up for free to be a member of the VIP club, allowing you to print out a free voucher on your printer for the coupon book to bring with you).

Have a look on Expedia, after all your idea of reasonable may not be someone else's.

I'm going to NY on Thursday and am staying at the Affinia Fifty which is reasonably priced

Hi there,
I'm planning on my first trip to Woodbury during the Easter weekend. I HEAAAAAAART Cole Haan bags but noticed that Cole Haan was listed under the "Shoes" category on the outlet official website. I wonder if the Cole Haan there also sell handbags and if the collection is of good quality (instead of previously mentioned by other shoppers some stores now produce "outlet exclusive" merchandises).

Greatly appreciate your input!!!

Thanks,
Rach
