Woodbury Common Outlet

I find Woodbury to be highly over-rated. It's a relic from when that was the only way to get sales all throughout the year from big designers.

I'd view it more as a fun trip, to walk around, instead of a place to get great discounts. Except for the Allsaints store, there wasn't a single place my mother and I thought was worth making the trip over shopping online at Gilt/etc.

THIS!

If you are going to go make sure you go on a nice day, its not an enclosed mall

Hi! I'm visiting NY next month from the UK with my mum and sister (we live to shop) just wondering whether woodbury is worth the trip? What are the Best stores for bargains? Is the Michael Kors store good there? I would love a bag and a watch. Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks.
The MK store is nice! The problem is that Woodbury is overrun with tourists trying to get bags to resell online. The last time I was at the MK store, I saw a bunch of watches and bags.

Definitely go on a nice day, it's very windy at Woodbury..absolutely miserable in the rain.

Just got my bags there before new year. When you are there, don't forget to get a coupon book from customer service and recieve 20% spend over 250$.

I would go. This is one of the nicer outlets in the country (has nicer high-end stores). As mentioned before, try to go on a sunny day.

A lengthy drive (2.5 hours each way) one day Spring 2011 didn't stop me. I had seen these beautiful blue and coral bags in the local Ferragamo store Spring 2010. Went home with a pair of lovely coral Ribes but one year later, the bags were still on my mind. I finally returned to the store to ask "Where does your merchandise go after the season is over?" The SA said "Woodbury!"

So I made the trip and they had my bag! But spent hours debating blue or coral while I shopped. I also nabbed a second pair of my beloved coral Ribes (as I'd worn the first pair to the ground), got a cute pair of lime Jimmy Choo pumps ($200) and nice pair of black Theory ($80) shorts. Regret not buying some brown, practical Louboutin pumps ($300) at the Barney's outlet.

My outlet trip was on a sunny, warm spring weekday and there wasn't a crowd; very pleasant shopping. Maybe look up some of the nicer second-hand stores in Manhattan too, if you're into that thing; great finds in such a fashionable city. Hope you have a great trip either way! And congrats on the Mulberry bag, OS Alexas & Bays are my fav (I've been glued to the forum while I wait for my first Mulberry a Grainy Print black Bayswater to arrive tomorrow).

i think if you are visiting from the UK you should definitely make a trip there. My cousins came from the UK several years ago and shopped till they dropped b/c it was much cheaper than the UK. We also have family that visits from Canada and they always stop at woodbury on their way here (NJ). They love it.

Don't sweat it if you can'tget the coupon book.. Most of it is a discount off regular price merchandise.. If the store is having a sale, the discount is usually a lot better than the book

I live overseas, so when I plan a trip to the States, I first coordinate the travel dates with my "sister date" to woodbury commons - it is out not-to-be-missed sister trip. as the kids have gotten older, they join us - and we have never been disappointed. of course, you have to know what you are getting yourself into - But I have done some "serious" damage to my bank acccount there - always manage to do well at either banana or gap, and then there are the items to be picked up at barneys, polo, dkny, off fifth and last call. I have been there black friday for the last few years, and what can I say. my sis and I have a great time helping each other shop well. it is our thing. Now, if I could only snag the reed krakoff bags I want there.....

I think totally worth it - there are even scheduled buses that go there - and go early! comfortable shoes are a must

Definitely worth while to make the trek from the city and I do it probably once a month. Either Woodbury or Jersey Gardens. But I own a car so it's not too much of a hassle. I've heard riding the bus up there isn't worth the expense and is a pain. But I've never had to use the bus so maybe someone else can help you there. If you have access to a car, though, definitely do it!
