Hi guys! I'd carry the bags more, but some of my hardware has broken and I need to replace. I still love and adore my three I'm Beautifuls (midi pewter crash and black crash) and full-size brown pebbled (can't remember the name.)

I also love my Surprise Me's but it was on those that the cross-body strap hardware broke; I really miss wearing those.

Jenny - good to see you! I had a few problems with some of the claw clasps on one or two of my bags (but they are not completely broken, I just need to be very gentle when removing straps from a bag) and a problem with some of the O rings. Fortunately, I have enough bags that I could swap O rings and BE did start sending out extra sets with bags. I'm not sure how to get the claws fixed though - what a bummer for you that it means you can't wear the bags! Could a cobbler help?

Hi Jenny, Good to 'see' you again :D

What a PITA about the HW! I would write BE and have them ship some new ones to you pronto. A cobbler will be able to fix this , so you can wear your lovely bags again!

I had an O ring break on one of my WTMs while I was crossing the street. The contents went everywhere! I was so flustered and so angry when I wrote to BE about it and was told to not carry so much in the bag. What??

I do love my many bags, but I don't plan to continue spending on BE.

Gack - that's horrible. I think it was after several people had this experience that they started sending out extra O rings with bags and I think they did send replacement rings but that sort of response didn't make them any friends and it was that sort of inconsistency that drove me a little nuts with their CS.

I don't believe anyone has gotten a confirmation that BE is done. None of us know anything which is unfortunate. But I hope it makes a come back. I love my bags and have found no other brand that I like nearly as much. I continue to find lovely used bags that need rehomed and have enjoyed adding them to my collection.

As far as other brands, a browse through the rest of the forum would be your best bet. I for one don't care to see our BE forum turned into a 'what else can I buy' forum. Not to be rude, just my opinion. :flowers:

Even the secondary market has slowed down....or perhaps that is just the US and maybe in the UK you have more options.....but there have been the same bags on the auction sites here forever, I think everyone is holding on to their BEs since no one knows if there will be more

Jackie has a lot on her plate right now & will share news once she's ready. It would be highly uncharacteristic of her to NOT communicate with her clients. For all we know, she might have sold her company to Michael Kors or Chanel.....

As far as "other brands"? Nothing else compares to Belen Echandia :smile1:

I agree with some of the posters with the fact, I'm also still so fond of my BEs, that I simply can't find another brand to replace them! I'm so reluctant to sell any of my BE's allthough I do need to downsize ;)

I have to say that I'm definitely holding on to the BE bags I have left. I have YET to find another brand that offers the kind of amazing leathers that BE has offered so I hope they continue to introduce new styles in the future. It really is one of the few brands that I am sentimental about and really love. Special. Not always perfect, but very special.:smile1:

I'm holding on to mine. I had listed a few bags because I have more than I probably need but when BEC was cancelled and with not a lot new being listed on sites, I de-listed everything and am holding onto them. I don't know when I'll get the opportunity to buy those styles/leathers again. I also went a bit mental about trying to find "the ones that got away" and was fortunate enough to have found a tan matte weekender and a grey matte TMA.

I'll be bummed if they're not around for sure...I've worn some of my BE bags practically to death;) I totally miss the crash leather bags for sure.

I've been cleaning out my closet and found a brand new black snake set of tags with the pink crystals - I took it off my London Tote because it was in the way. If anyone can use it PM me and I'll mail it to you.

May I ask how you heard of this? If that's true, that's very sad news indeed.

BE is a special brand, but maybe Jackie has other plans and opportunities so, if this is true, I wish all her team well.
