Everyone looks fantastic in their jackets!!!

cityoflight is enabling me with the '10 brown! Gah......it's killing me! I want I want!!!!

I have a question- my beige jacket has blue jean transfer on the bottom edge of both sleeves:sad:. Any hints on how to remove? It's just along the edges but I'm afraid to try anything....HELP!!!

I am a little relieved to hear about your sizing problem because everyone has been talking about the 2010 jackets being slightly bigger than the 2009 and I find my 2010 jacket smaller than my 2009.

My next question is, does the jacket fit you? If it fits then who cares if it is a 36 or 38. Very few of us can zip up our jackets and frankly will never zip them up anyway. Is the jacket small on you overall or is it just that you can't zip it up? It looked fine on you in your modeling pics:graucho:. Just my two cents:p

As you know I received my black with brass hw jacket from DF Wednesday and I love it.
My first thought was it looked smaller than the Canard I had and returned, but I just figured it was the black color that made it look that way.

I havent really had a chance to try it on again since, because I have been so busy but today I took it out of the dustbag and measured it and it really is smaller! Also smaller than the 2009 navy in size 38 lovelygarments was so sweet to measure in the style-reference post.

Can any of you ladies who own a 2010 jacket in size 38 do me a favour and measure it for me?

Here are measurements for mine:

underarm to underarm across the front - 42 cm - 16-1/2"
underarm to underarm across the back - 43 cm - 17"
mid-waist - 36 cm - 14"
hem - 39 cm - 15-1/4"
shoulder to shoulder - 37 cm - 14-1/2"
sleeve length - 64 cm - 25"
length measured from buttom of back collar - 50 cm - 19-1/2"

And lovelygarments size 38 navy:

This jacket is a French size 38 - measurements:

underarm to underarm across the front - 17-3/4"
underarm to underarm across the back - 17-1/2"
mid-waist - 15"
hem - 16-1/8"
shoulder to shoulder - 15"
sleeve length - 26-3/8"
length measured from bottom of back collar - 20-1/4

The jacket cant be closed and I am worried if its a size 38 or marked wrong.

Just want to be sure before I contact DF. Not that it matters that I cant zip it, but I just wonder why there is such a big difference.

(Gulp!) I second that!! I would jump at the opportunity to get my hands on a light grey jacket, similar to the '08. Could it be with silver zips? Oh, my...

...even though I have promised myself that the only additional jacket (if any) that I acquire next year would be a black or navy with silver zips.


And, I'm sad to report that yesterday I officially retired my moto jackets for the spring/summer. I bought a cedar-lined heavy cotton garment bag that they can both comfortably rest in (since I did not receive a garment bag with either jacket), and moved them to the dark corner of my off-season closet. I usually get excited when it's time to swap out garden dresses and short skirts for heavy sweaters and winter coats, but yesterday was depressing!!!

I have no idea if this is correct, but I was told a while back by a BALNY person that the red was going to be bright, like rouge vif or something. I love that color in a bag, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about a biker jacket. Of course, it's much more likely I'll see it and all the other colors for 5 seconds and want them all, given my criminal history.

Well my silver is thinner then my black and tan jackets. Being that it's 58 degree outside and raining I'm wearing mine today....so there's hope!
