Hi, I finally get my dream jacket...but I am torn between the sizing. I am about 5'4 & 127 lbs.
Size 38 - fits very nice on the arms & sleeve (length). I can comfortably move my arms around when unzipped. The jacket looks awesome unzipped. However, I can't really zip the jacket up. I tried really hard to zip up like 4 inches, but I look like a sausage & the zipper looks like it will break anytime.
The 2010 leather is very smooth in the size 38...so I am not sure if it will stretch at all or how much it will stretch.
Size 40 - the arm area doesn't fit nicely (loose) & the sleeve looks a bit long. It looks big when unzipped & it looks like I have shoulder pads on my shoulders. However, I can zipped it up all the way...but it still feels tight though.
Now, I don't know what to do. The size 38 makes me look cooler & I feel great wearing it, but I can't even zip it up! It seems like the size 40 actually fits me better, but the arms area look loose. I am planning to lose 10 pounds anyway...so I am not sure if I should get the size 38 (even when I can't zip it up & may not be able to zip the jacket up even when I lose weight) or should I get the size 40 ? I think my problem is I have a bigger belly....so I am not sure what to do. Is it stupid to spend all that money on a jacket that you can't really zip up at all? Please give me some opinion as I have till Thursday before I have to return one of the jacket! Thank you in advance!

take the one you feel best in, hearing your thoughts, i feel that you should go for size 38. the SA told me this jacket hasn't been designed to be zipped up. maybe you can post pics so that we can see the difference between the two sizes on you before you send one away.

DF shipped it out Friday and it arrived today!
I LOVE IT! Its amazing, the leather is so soft and I love the structure on it.... it fits like a dream (but looks best unzipped) and it just goes with everything in my wardrobe
I am so glad I decided to return the Canard, even though it was gorgeous... this is just so much more "me" if you know what I mean....

I just got a size 38 today and it fits perfect... expect I dont like the way it looks when zipped!
I have rather narrow hips and really think the 40 would have been to big on me... I dont think I will ever wear the jacket zipped, but just layer a sweater instead.
I think the 38 sounds like the right size for you.

I'm so glad you could get your Dream jacket! I'd say go for the 38. It will definitely stretch some. Mine did & mine is a 2009 with thicker leather.

Huge congrats pokus on your amazing black jacket! The leather looks much more beautiful than on the canard because it's more structured! You made the right choice in returning the canard and getting black IMHO!
