The new 2010 brown seems to look a little different in every picture. It's called muscade or muscadet. The yellowish tan is moutarde.

Are there two 2010 Browns, or am I totally confused?
If not, they really must look very different depending on the photo......Emily's looked very Brown, not as light as this one......

These are two photos I got from the Bal Boutique. The reddish brown one was called Moutarde by the SA even though it is nothing like the Moutarde for the bags. The lighter one, she called Camel even though the lighter one looks more like the Moutarde for the bags. I questioned this and she said, "I know". Not really sure if she had the color names right or not. I'd be interested to see what the other boutiques call them.

TMitch6542: I am glad to hear that the 2010 jacket has nice leather....I was debating between the canard & the olive green color jacket earlier & I am glad I went with Canard then. Maybe one day, I will get a Black balenciaga leather jacket.
H_addict: Yes, I am so glad to get the jacket with some discount! I was planning to order it from the States, but I know I will get tax/custom. Plus, I haven't try the jacket on yet...so it's very risky for me to buy it online. I am glad Holt in Canada carries it. With your black jacket, I am so glad you are keeping it. The leather in that jacket is so soft & beautiful!

isn't the second photo 09 Beige?? I'm so confused. I LOVE Caroline's brown one. How do I find that one!?
nope it's the new beige 2010, the zipper isn't silver. i think Caroline's brown is havana, i saw one IRL at the printemps clothes corner when i bought my beige there. it's definitely browner than the caramel one bal called moutarde.
Here is a pic of me trying on the 2010 Brown in Bal London. The SA only said "brown", no other name. It's a crappy pic taken with my iphone, sorry about that.
I think I hate that I know this stuff, but here goes. Chocolate brown from 2008 and havana from fall '09 are really close in color, both dark browns. You can tell if a jacket is havana, because it will have dark silver zippers and the zipper fabric is dark brown that virtually matches the jacket. The '08 has bright silver zips, black fabric.
Moutarde and muscade look different in almost every picture and are called all sorts of things like tan, camel, cognac, whatever. Both are in the group of 2010 jackets that have brass hardware. Muscade is the darker of the two, but it isn't dark brown. I think IRL it's sort of medium, and reddish.

Did Bal.com have all these 2010 jackets? It seems they've only had black and Canard...unless I missed them?
I haven't seen these colors, the new green or white on the BAL website and I don't know if we will. Muscade, moutarde and green came out a little before the gray, and it has already shown up. But you never know.

I LOVE navy as well, but i kinda feel like I need a lighter color since I have black on black. And the Navy has dark zippers as well. I would kill for Navy with silver zips!
