Shoo, by the time I checked my e-mail, and entered the code, my size 40 was sold out, and I ordered the 38, which will be a bit small on me, but I thought I would try it anyway. I know I will keep it, though a 40 would fit me better.

I think I'll need a 40 or 42. I may go to SCP tomorrow to at least try on the Navy they have in 40.
Kay- maybe you will like the 38! I've been reading up about people that say to buy leather jackets 1-2 sizes small. I'm feeling a little better about mine now...though still nervous. Probably won't relax till i have it! A little disappointed so far with Bal.com. I ordered this yesterday morning and haven't heard anything.
Oh - I would love it in Navy! I got mine in brown and can't wait for it to arrive

RACHEY07 when I ordered through their site, I put the order in on Saturday, and never got my card charged til the following Tuesday. But they sent me a tracking number right away after they charged it. So hopefully you'll get your tracking number soon

I know right?! I called BAL this past week and mentioned this availability and I was told it is impossible b/c their master system shows them as sold out completely in black. I specifically made her go online and see that 38 and at the time 40 were still available for order online so why is she telling me they are not? I was thoroughly annoyed. I would have placed an order online instead of dealing with the phone - but of course it is for usa shipping only.
So tired of this. Happy I've placed my order with Departement Feminin.
Does anyone know where in NYC this jacket is? I called Barney's and they only have a 36 in stock. BG and BalNY are closed as of now.

i have been creepily lurking in the thread to gather as much info as i could before i did the unthinkable...count me in as a part of your club now, i've ordered this jacket in black! so happy, though i've had to liquidate pieces from my wardrobe to fund this purchase. i feel like a kid selling lemonade on the street, but it will be so worth it!
i chose to go with the 38 after combing through all the threads and i will see if it fits the way i want it to. i'm a US 2/XS-S on top, UK 8, France 36-38 and have been told from Bal LA that this jacket fits TTS (she said i would need a 34-36, but i was skeptical, since everyone here says it runs small) and from Bal NY that it runs small (the SA is the same size as me and said she took a 38). so i shall see in a few days time what the deal is...and if it doesn't fit perfectly, back it goes. especially at this price!
the SAs from Bal LA told me that another shipment of these jackets will be arriving in January, as confirmed by other tpf members. however, she said that the zipper will be brass/copper for next season, as opposed to the jet black of this season and silver of seasons past.
