why do my eyes burn with every make up remover I use?

I wouldn't use soap near my eyes....
But anyway, do your removers so far have had a milky substance? I've, so far, always had a problem with the watery make-up removers - they won't remove my waterproof mascara and they make me lose a lot of lashes (and I don't rub that roughly)...
Not sure if it's available in the US, but ROC does the trick for me!

I was running into the same problem. EVERY eyemakeup remover I tried was making my eyes burn. I switched to a makeup removing oil (Boscia Makeup Breakup) and it really works. Doesn't burn my eyes at all. [FYI: The MAC Cleanse Off oil DID burn my eyes, however.]
