Whoopi needs to go back to the weed!

you honestly think she has stopped! :whut:

There are many celebs that have gone through health issues & they are appreciative that
they have a "job" to go back to.
Can't imagine that Barbara Walters would be pleased hearing this comment.
She has a daughter & grandchildren(?) that she certainly wants for them to have a nice & secure
financial future, but the comment was insensitive & perhaps to other celebs she might be
underpaid, but hey that's your choice of career, Whoopi!!
She has a reported net worth of 30 million.. gimme a break here..

I seriously doubt it is bothering her wherever she is. :giggle:

On the air, she said that the bakery had problems with their ovens, in the article it said boilers.
Either ways, who cares?
It is not like anybody is going to shlep all the ways to Staten Island for a pastry.
And their current clients are not going to stop, they know the deal.

I think it’s a big deal because she assumed the worst about a small business and put it on the air without even checking it out first. I’m glad the bakery clapped back at her. I hope their business boomed afterwards.

Also, if she was so outraged at their perceived bias that she had to mention it on the show, why did she send someone to buy the cupcakes anyway? When I overheard racism by ownership at a local retail store, I walked right out and never went back. They were never again going to get my business.

Except that she did not name the bakery by name. So nobody had a clue what business it was.
The bakery seized on the moment to attract a special kind of customers, imo.
And there are plentiful on SI, J/S

Except Whoopi did shlep to Staten Island for a pastry. She wanted their famous 'Charlotte Russe' for her birthday and it was a large order and they couldn't handle it because of a boiler breakdown.

It was pretty obvious to everyone which bakery she was talking about even though she didn't specifically name it.

Saying they wouldn't serve her because of her politics reminded me of the mighty O complaining on her talk show about Paris. lol

There are a thousand bakeries in NYC. Nobody knew what bakery it was.
Now, if its was Juniors, now that would be noteworthy.
this incident is the best thing that happens to this place.
Free advertisement.

I don't mean to be rude, but I linked an article that clearly points out that this bakery is well-known and plenty of people knew exactly who she was talking about. Whether or not it was free advertisement they should be happy with is really not the point.
