Hey cooper1, what does the Piper Speedy look like with the cross body strap? Do you ever use it? Does the bag look sloppy/too slouchy with the cross body strap in use? Thanks!

Oh, I don't know... I just got it yesterday and I have been sick for the last few days, so I haven't tried the cross-body strap yet.

Aznanjl........don't feel so bad. I am going to share an excerpt from an email I sent to 2 of my best Pf pals after I got my new lg. Gustto caramel Baca......we all do things like that...YOU ARE NOT ALONE....this wonderful event occurred on 4-8
"I have just spent the last hour with the Baca.....and there was MAJOR DRAMA GOING ON....OK Lisa and Steph......are you ready for this?
So The seller of the Baca showed pics of the bag and I knew that there was a price of 449 written in the inside pocket, because obviously she got it on sale down from 695 or whatever......
So I get the bag and it's perfect! (this should be you first clue, concentrate on the word perfect)
So I say to myself, heck I will just VERY CAREFULLY take a cotton ball with some hairspray and try to get the permanent marker writing off the inside zipper pocket.
Doesn't seem like a big deal. I have done this before and it usually works. So I am very careful and am just dabbing away, watching the news, and making sure the leather is NO WHERE in proximity to the cotton ball.........more dabbing.....then I see it starts to bleed.......then smear.......ok, so now I'm panicking because the friggin ghetto lining is acting like a friggin wick and pulling the crap all over the place.
I fly to the bathroom, and turn (well practically RIP) the pocket all inside out, and pull it as far as I can away from the bag. I frantically wrap the bag in a big towel like a babe in swaddling clothes (think Jesus in the manger) and proceed to hang it over the sink and spray the hell out of it with the spray. So now I am spraying and scrubbing with a toothbrush and I think, Crap it's getting lighter but not coming completely out! So I told myself, calm down and take a deep breath before there is a MAJOR accident, and just call it quits....
So I rinse like crazy and about now I am a little wired and nervous because I had 2 cups of Hawaiian dark roast before this little project, so I decide I'd better wrap it up while things aren't a total fiasco......
OK, so now I get the hair dryer out, and LOW AND BEHOLD my friggin Gustto label is HALF SOAKING WET, (God knows with what, hairspray or water, or both) and not only that, but sopping wet Gustto tag pressed on the outside of the bag and now there are a few wet spots NOW ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BAG!!
So I say frig it and take a washcloth and soak the rest of the label, uniformity is better that a big horizontal stripe on it, right? On the other hand I am about to lose it over the other wet spots! Good thing BF is out this morning or else I am sure he would have called the police and had me Baker acted...I was THAT CRAZY!
So know I am using the blow dryer, eyes fixated and probably dilated on the whole thing, kinda like seeing your crack flushed down the toilet, well this is our crack right? and praying all the time. (Isn't it sacrilegious to pray to God about a handbag? Is there a rule against that or something? or maybe you just go straight to hell...)
I'm gently drying the pocket, and yes the leather Gustto tag, so I see now where I was scrubbing the material the price is faded, but then again the lining is a little faded now too so WTF? After all is said and done, the Gustto label looks pretty good only a small dark area is left, maybe still wet.
THANK YOU JESUS, the wet spots on the outside went away when I dried them, of course now I am scrutinizing the whole bag and of course I am CONVINCED that there are little marks here and there that I must have made during the process.....

I felt your pain every step of the way. I'm as equally obsessed and in love with the beauty of bags just as you....so you're in good company!!! 
Needless to say J.Chiara LUCY'S are not allowed in the vicinity of ANYTHING remotely related to hairspray or the likes.....they're beloved.
I got mine during the SS and I think it was about $120 or something crazy like that! I do love it!
It is really big inside; like a cave! LOL! That's one of the things I love: it holds alot because it is so deep, but it doesn't look huge on your arm.
When I first got it, I thought the leather was a little "stiff", but then I had been using it for about a month straight, and the leather got really soft. The Angie leather seems to be thicker and have more texture to the surface than my other LP bags.
The Aubergine is gorgeous!!!
I keep thinking I am going to kick myself if I don't get the Angie Shoulder bag in Crimson, but I have to stop! I think after seeing the Marigold Bowler, I want to wait for one of those to eventually go on sale (...hopefully...maybe?....)
Cooper1, I'm sorry, I don't think I ever thanked you for writing back. To be honest, I've been trying to stay away from this thread
I'm one of those easily influenced people and will end up buying a bag just b/c so many people rave about it; I know how I am so I have to prevent that from happening Oh, I don't know... I just got it yesterday and I have been sick for the last few days, so I haven't tried the cross-body strap yet.

Sorry, Killjoy, here are some quick pix of the Piper Speedy with the cross-body strap. Keep in mind, the bag is empty so it is a little floppier than it would be if it was full. Also keep in mind, this is NOT a small bag. I noticed in another thread that you are looking for a smaller cross-body bag. This is medium sized and would fit alot because it is deep.

Everyone's bags are so gorgeous, I can't wait for mine. I ordered the Angie speedy in crimson (I'm on a neverending quest for the perfect red bag) and Fedex shows that it's in transit! Should be here by Tuesday, I'm so excited!!
