I was thinking about the Iron Dylan large shoulder bag as well, but i have gray bags and really want the marigold bowler. The quilted dylan bowler in black looks nice too. Ok, I am done whining about the marigold bowler. I'll wait for it to go on sale, which I am sure it will eventually :)

That bowler looks gorgeous on you!! So sorry about the leather conditioner accident---Miss. Lizardo should share her Gustto story, your skin will crawl!! But maybe it will fade in time? Lets hope!

hmm, well let me just say i am a grey lover, love all shades of grey! well, except that AC jet setter in a reallyyy light grey that was just meh. anyway, i think this a nice matte, gunmetal grey. it's not a spectacular outstanding color, but i got it cause i have nothing grey, and it would match almost any bag i own (my other wallets are plum and hot pink, so i figured i needed a neutral!). so in other words, its pretty much what you think it would be, nothing more, nothing less IMO. no complaints from me though since i like grey. its a great neutral.

for a bag color, i prefer the anthracite/midnight, to be honest. the iron may be too much grey for me. but i havent seen pics other than on LP's site, so maybe someone else can provide more insight :)

I got mine during the SS and I think it was about $120 or something crazy like that! I do love it!
It is really big inside; like a cave! LOL! That's one of the things I love: it holds alot because it is so deep, but it doesn't look huge on your arm.
When I first got it, I thought the leather was a little "stiff", but then I had been using it for about a month straight, and the leather got really soft. The Angie leather seems to be thicker and have more texture to the surface than my other LP bags.
The Aubergine is gorgeous!!!

I keep thinking I am going to kick myself if I don't get the Angie Shoulder bag in Crimson, but I have to stop! I think after seeing the Marigold Bowler, I want to wait for one of those to eventually go on sale (...hopefully...maybe?....)

Thanks Coop for this clarification. I was always curious about the differences in the leather. The leather on my Gretchen overnighter is so incredible - I mean seriously, it's beyond butta and I never knew what other style bags would be comparable to that softness. I guess it'd be the Piper in something for me rather than the Angie. I'll have to back to the site and check it out.

How would you compare the Dylan line with the Piper line?

Oh, no, don't get me wrong: the Angie leather is incredible, just different. After my initial thoughts that the Angie leather is a little "stiff", it became really soft after using it for a few weeks straight, but still, it is NOT like the Dylan. The Dylan leather is so soft and turns into a puddle if you set it down on a table. The Piper is definitely more like the Dylan in terms of surface smoothness, squishiness, butteriness, and overall softness. The Angie leather seems to be thicker and more durable long term.

...Hopefully this is not too confusing. I personally love the leather on ALL of my bags! They are all just a little different. But if you want leather closer to the Dylan's, then yes, go with the Piper!
You won't be disappointed!!!

It looks from the pix on the site that the shoulder strap is not adjustable. Is it or not? Also, if it is not adjustable, how long is the shoulder drop?

I keep thinking the same thing! I want the Angie shoulder in aubergine but I just don't know if I'd ever wear it.. I have NO purple in the closet... I wish they'd drop their prices just a little.

I have an Angie crimson Speedy on the way so I can be excited about that.

I know you feel Lisa. Purple though is a great neutral staple in your closet. Believe it or not, it does go with much more than you would think.

I'm still on the fence on all of this. I do wish the strap wasn't quite as long actually - I must be the only one!!! :sad:

Yes, I agree about the Aubergine. It is not a true purple, like grape, it is more of a burgundy color. I love it. It definitely is a neutral that seems to go with almost everything....

About this Angie shoulder bag: do you know how long the strap is? It doesn't look adjustable, and I don't really want a bag with such a long strap that the bag bounces around on my hip with every step!! LOL!

Well I was supposed to get my Zoe yesterday and Fedex jacked all that up yet again.

I officially HATE Fedex in every way. After leaving my bag on the truck the entire day yesterday and failing to deliver they actually wrote the reason was because the customer or business was closed! WTF. They never even attempted delivery. :wtf:

NOW I have to wait until Monday to get my package because they apparently don't deliver ground packages on Saturday. :tdown:

I AM SO PISSED! :cursing::cursing::cursing:
