My Ergo tote is the large. Mokoni's is the smaller one. Liz has a pic with the 2 sizes side by side. I opted for the large because I LOVE the turnlock on the front. I don't find it to be heavy at all because there isn't too much hardware and the leather is not as heavy as the legacy leather. It is a vintage type leather and does scratch. I was advised by a SA not to use anything on it, not even conditioner. It fits nicely on my shoulder and is carried easily on the crook of the arm too.
Yikes! I didn't realize that it's vintage leather!! Thanks for posting that. Otherwise, I probably would have used my cleaner and moisturizer on it at some point. You saved my bag! Thank you!! :sweatdrop:

No problem, Mokoni! I would NOT want to see your bag hurt! Mine had scratches on it when it arrived and I wanted to treat it so I asked one of our lovely SA gals on here and she said nope! Don't put anything on it!

So, I couldn't stand it, I just have to put Lizcordova's pics up here! I love her bags too! Part of me wants the smaller tote in turquoise but then I also want the hobo! :confused1: Decisions, decisions! Hope you don't mind, Liz! I'm in love with your bags!

So the tote does not have a zipper to close it correct?

I can't have a bag without a zipper (I know me and all my things will fall out lol). I saw the ergo hobo, but does anyone have a photo of what it looks like on the shoulder? I like the way the tote is structured.

LADIES LADIES LADIES!!!!! IT IS NOT VINTAGE LEATHER UNLESS COACH MADE A HUGE MISTAKE:

PLEASE READ THE CARE CARD INCLUDED WITH YOUR BAG! It is Lightweight glove-tanned leather: per care card: The natural leather maintains its high sheen with proper care and does not darken with age. Spots or stains can be removed from hand burnished leather by wiping it with a clean dry cloth. To remove scratches and to keep the leather supple, wipe the item with a soft cloth or with Coach leather moisturizer. Please DO NOT use Coach Leather Cleaner on hand burnished leather products.

As soon as I was convinced this bag was for me, the first thing I did was moisturize it. And, it looks fine, it looks the same, it did not darken and no color (turquoise) came off!

^^ Yes, I remember you advised the same in the thread I posted about the scratches on my bag. I had inquired about using applegard on it. I did use some on the bottom and it didn't seem to hurt it but then I was advised not to put anything on it. But I think it'd look really nice with a good conditioning. Hmmm....

I don't understand the conflicting care information. But then again, I moisturize the Legacy Vintage leather:shrugs: If I pay $400.00+ for a side of leather I am going to care for it. Always do a test first!

here is a pic of the ergo signature small hobo (khaki/mahogany - the one on the left) I picked up today at the PCE event along w/ other stuff I got: (duh I can't believe I forgot to ask about the ergo tote!)

I only kept the Large Ergo tote in turquoise as the small one was just too small for me. I did order the Large Ergo Hobo for the PCE and the Ergo Cross Body bag. I will post pictures when I receive my new items. I love my Ergo Tote but the weather here in NY is quite bad so I will wait until April to use it.

For those of you who have the ergo tote, how do you feel about the dogleash closure? I am pondering it; I love the turquoise, but I'm not sure if I will feel insecure with it being so "open" at the top.
I wish they would let me order the ergo for the pce! I will try and ask, but I bet they will say no.

Thank you for all the information guys, if I can get my $100.00 credit back from coach for the remaining of the pce..that is my next choice in Camel...see my post EEEEEK, what happened at Coach...all I can say is :crybaby:

Personally, it doesn't bother me because I prefer open top totes. I don't even use the dogleash closure on mine.

That is a really nice signature bag...I never saw that one. Does it have the legacy lining as well??? cute cute, girl you have posted there..
Thank you. No, the bag just has solid dark brown lining (matching the trim). I LOVE the bag!!

Rainbow 06: What is the name/style of that bag in the bottom left of your picture? LOVE IT!
Thanks!

ooo i'm absolutely excited to get the large ergo hobo in turquoise nxt month. i feel like a kid who's waiting eagerly for Christmas morning to come. lol.

anyways...does anyone know if the ergo hobos have the striped lining just like the ergo totes do? thanks...

^^ No, the hobos don't have the striped lining. That's why I went for a tote first. Plus I have hobos so wanted another tote!

And I don't mind the way the tote closes either. It's deep enough that my stuff stays put and I can reach into it easily. There are two hooks/rings to clip it closed too so you can choose to make it a bit more secure.
