@EpiFanatic I cannot tell you how much I love your sweet pave studs! Can you tell me how many mm they are? I have relatively small earlobes and pretty much wear only studs. Right now for reference I’m alternating between two pairs and they basically totally fill up lobe space. One of my pairs has 6.66 mm stones in an 8 prong setting and the other has 6-ish mm in a bezel. Do you think the sweets would be comparable in size?
Asking because these may need to go on my wish list. My lifestyle is very casual right now and I live in studs. I’ve held my vintage motifs to my ears and they would definitely look bigger than what I am accustomed to in a stud.
Hi @tonks! My sweet pave studs are just a hair shy of 9mm at the widest point. I think you will love them once you try them. They are completely flat on the side of the post so they do not at all stretch the piercings. If you love studs and don’t love these, lunch is on me. The vintage size are a different look. And for me a different purpose. I’m trying to wear them more whenever I leave the house. But if I’m at home, it’s my pave studs and I still get a thrill every time I put them on.

I haven’t worn anything other than studs in years. In the past year I branched out and now I have two pairs of daily wear studs (one old cut and one modern). These seem like they would be a fantastic addition—different, yet a safe bet in terms of something I would wear.

Love this thread!! Been so drawn to WG lately and my DH picked up the chalcedony Alhambra bracelet for my bday recently! Am so in love! The purple/blue/grey stone paired with white gold feels so crisp and clean and so perfect for summer. Def need to start adding more to my WG collection. Do all the WG pros and lovers here have any suggestions on what I can add to this stack? I love EpiFanatic’s stack with the signature but I don’t know if I like the bangle crossing over the bracelet. Should I try the WG MOP combination? Or another diamond bracelet in baguette form? Thanks for letting me share ❤️❤️
I think WG MOP blends very nicely with the WG Chalcedony! I am also very drawn to WG recently.. i kind of feel quite meh about my YG pieces, i only wear them when my clothing colors are light and warm.. but i am just in a WG phase now.
I personally wont layer bangles with bracelets, so my vote is MOP WG bracelet since you alrdy have a beautiful tennis bracelet!
This was my latest purchase for my birthday too! I pair it (occasionally) with my signature perlee bangle but I haven't taken it off since putting it on

This is a question I have also been debating. I found this post by Big Akoya helpful. https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/van-cleef-in-action.900366/page-680#post-34643909. Any piece in WG showcases the stone. The attention is drawn to that piece by nature of the Stone. It’s a neutral base for the stone to let it hold center stage. She says when you add YG or RG you’re adding another color into the mix that competes for attention to the eye. I also believe certain stones have that same effect regardless of the color gold, and won’t necessarily compete with that gold. TQ is a good example. I often mix and match TQ YG pendant with WG earrings or vice versa. If the pieces are not next to one another, it can definitely be worn together. But, I do believe that it is best done when the pieces are not from the same collection. Having different shapes keeps the attention away from the metal and more on the stones. I think its fun to mix it up a little. Another way to express your individuality.
