UGH. Technically i dont need anything else.. but i am thinking if i am going to get it someday, kight as well be now. But i am feeling guilty because it is supposed to be recession probably next year.. so yea, i am torn. I thought i was at peace after my 5 motif pave onyx. Hahaha
Yeah, I know the feeling. VCA does that to you. Just when you thought you were done... At least you have some time before the next price increase. to give it some more thought. Given the way diamond prices are going, I may put one more thing on the list before the next price increase too. Personally I do wish I had bought it earlier. Sigh...
YES ikr! Cartier recently increased their prices for the solitaire diamonds, thats when I felt that the prices for pave pieces is just gonna go up anyway. But on the other hand, i am also glad i took my time because otherwise, i would have made a few blunders with the signature bangle aand the sweet clover.. when i tried the sweet clover ring and the single row perlee ring, i realieed i much prefer the single row perlee ring. Although it felt a teeny bit "bright" as i compare with my coco crush ring. Actually, the coco crush ring made me realise i dont like mirrored finish. I struggled with it, but have accepted it as what it is since i do like the xxxx design. I just wont buy more of such mirrored finishings where the scratches drive me nuts..
@lvmon i am seriously considering adding the 10 motif chalcedony but i am unsure how much use i would get out of a 10 motif because i am a very casual, summer dresses kind of girl.. i find solitaire necklace much easier to pair..
My collection is humble, i sized down to a 5 motif in onyx x pave, and a 5 motif chalcedony and a few WG rings.
I was wondering how often you wear the 10 motif, and if you wear 10+5 more often?
Congrats on your 5 motif chalcedony bracelet @sassification ! I am very casual as well and love my 10motif, and use it often. If you wear dresses that are lower necklines, 10 motif is perfect. I mostly wear 10+5 in winter with sweaters. There is a 10 motif thread for your reference.

Loveeeee your collection ! I just purchased the wg guilloche and was wondering if the shine fades over time? I’m undecided if to switch to yg.
Also your sweet pave earrings do they sparkle even though sweet? I’m thinking of getting them if I stay with the wg!

Actually I only have WG guilloche HP and I haven’t worn it enough to notice if it fades. But my experience with VCA WG is that the rhodium plating has not worn off. Shine of course will be reduced if you scratch something up excessively. Like if you have a WG love bangle that gets really scratched up over years of wear. But I don’t have that issue with any of my VCA pieces because I don’t have any pieces that have that much exposed polished metal.
With regard to my sweet pave studs, don’t expect sparkly like the pave frivole pieces, which is just wall to wall sparkle. Pave Alhambra pieces have more metal than diamond so they are sparkly for what they are. I love the look and design of pave Alhambra, the fine detailed workmanship with the added bonus of diamonds. I love the super shiny metal of the beaded edges and the tiny diamonds on the studs. It’s an exact replica of the vintage size except smaller. So if you love that then go for it. If you want wall to wall pave sparkle you’re Bette off with something in the Frivole line.
For what it’s worth my mother has been wearing her WG clover ring almost every day for more than 15+ years and to my eyes they still look fine. She’s not one to baby her jewelry at all for the ones she wears most often and I haven’t inspected closely but they still look bright and white from afar to me. The next time she has it on I’ll ask to look at it closely because she even doesn’t take her ring off to wash her hands outside of the house. She doesn’t wear jewelry at home though so I suppose it’s not worn 24/7.
I have been wearing mine frequently for the last couple of years.Still looks brand new and is my most complimented piece.
