Bag Cousin
Thx cuzzzz! I can't take credit for coming up with this twilly tying method. As you can imagine, it has been done very often ont his sub-forum, but I finally managed to try it myself. Amazed at the fact that it is actually easier for me to wrap the handles this way than the traditional way! Much less fuss and they stay inplace better! Who knew? :blushing:

I actually never gave CPdM a chance when initially researching GMs. I totally ignored it actually... thinking the design was uninspiring for me, personally. Well, that fateful day at NM a few months ago changed everything. Actually, the deep fuchsia combined with that emerald green made me flip out! I guess, for me, with certain color combinations, I can ignor the less than insprational design (no offense intended because I know you love the design) for that level of PIZAZZZZZ :graucho:

TT - I totally agree with seton - you are all fabulousness.

I am waiting to see seton's bountiful harvest of 90 silks! :yahoo:

I think this one fits theme week, and I got to wear it this weekend at the museum with 12 dollar coral shantung silk jacket from consignment store. Worn Obi sash style, Daimyo (issued 1990, F. Facconet) fits the bill for this week's and next week's themes - nineties and jacquard silks.

And, to enable some 14O summer silk love - Equateur with sale BR dress.

You look stunning Lanit! I love the sily belt idea!!! Totally stealing that...:graucho:

A big hugs to all fellow scarfies :hugs:.
I've just got back from an almost 3-week trip to Asia to visit my family for the Lunar New year. Now back home to my beloved scarf harem and will be able to do Saturday scarf playtime ritual again!!! :choochoo:

A late thanks to Luvbolide, Pierina2, mimi 123, Ladybaga, seton, lanit, jp_536, VnSoie, etoile le mer, sparklelisab, and frou frou: Thank you all for the lovely compliments on my Turandot post earlier this month. I hope you all enjoyed it and I'm pretty sure it will be among the very few lengthy posts I'll make this year. Next time pics will do most of the job!

I've not been able to post much until now, but thank you all for your lovely pictures and some enabling power :D.
On top of my head:
lanit you looked gorgeous and elegant in the Equateur GM scarf. Great choice dear! The capucine Chevaux Qataris and the tulips are such great match! Very cheerful and feminine!
Hermesick I can see somebody just fell on the orange slope :graucho:, especially the CS GM slope. The start of the slope is very slippery for sure :D (I've been there, catching up with must-haves stage is very dangerous!)
Btw, your previous avatar was really gorgeous. I thought it was a photo of a celebrity or so.
Ladybaga: the black white CDG scarf was soooo eye-catching! Look great on you, lady!
IF: that L'arbre de Vie twilly is so striking! Straight to my wish list now.

Welcome back Chestnutty! You have been missed!!! (I love that you call us your scarf harem! :D) So glad you got to visit your family in Asia! In 1980, my family and I were so blessed to visit Asia (China, Japan, Hong Kong, specifically) My dad was on a medical exchange program and I was in the ninth grade! Our adventure was about a month in length and it was magical! (Traveling with my parents influenced me to become a history teacher!) Anyway, we are glad you have rejoined the harem!

Thank you so much for the CDG Cheval Surprise comment! It is such a fun scarf! :smile1:

I totally get the color over design preference! In December I bought three Casques et Plumes (sorry for the poor spelling!) based on the color combos alone! I do like the ring of horses (and most definitely the leopard spots!) but the helmets with plumes isn't my bag at all. I like the plumes because of the feather aspect, but not so much the helmets! When tied, I love the design, though. With all of that said, I have to say it is the magic of Hermes to make something we may not initially be attracted to, so desirable! Go figure! :D

seton's 90s jacquard bi-week

so I will start with a staple in any 90s power collector's wardrobe: Carnaval de Venise, of course. I haz 6, so why am I only showing 2? well 2 are cashmere (no jacquard) and 2 are Fetes de Venitiennes. The name change occured in the early 2000s so I consider it an ought.

pic came out bad. the border on this is dark green, not black. I dont love Halloween THAT much. :D

this is the cw in the scarfbook, graphite/silver/yellow, the yr it came out

I must have my head examined modeling this when this beauteous creature is rocking the same cw on her blog:

seton, I can see why you have 6 versions of Carnaval! Beautiful design! Your colorful jacquard one obviously caught my eye because of the rich colors!!!
Really beautiful on you, seton! You wear colors and neutrals so well! The next picture of your Carnaval in the mix of color and neutral is a perfect balance of the two. Let me also say that your "piste" (am trying to remember the next one from memory, so pardon my poor spelling...) with that gorgeous blend of grays, cream, camel.....swoon worthy! Way to go on finding the perfect shade of gray in a 9 dollar sweater! You made it look like a million bucks. I love and appreciate you posts so much! Thanks for the eye candy!

These are uber fabulous on you seton ( and I "wub" your compliment on the Equateur too LOL). Especially the graphite one. Wondering why I am so obsessed with yellows these days. The contrasting piping done early must have set the scarfies on a tizzy back then! I love contrasting hems! Especially for a festive silk.

Thank you sparkle, IF and LadyB for your kind compliments. We need a silk and cheap finds theme week.

Chestnutty - thank you dear, and you have been missed! Would love to see some photos of your trip highlights! Did you get to H boutiques or find some great items while visiting? Glad you are back!

Lady, this is so funny as I love the scarf for the exact opposite reasons. I wish I had one of those plume-y helmets to prance around in and pretend to be a giant peacock or something. But I love my ONE Casaques you hoarder--as Flava would say...hehehee

Lanit: you know I don't do a Saturday play day with my scarves--I am the grossest of gross on the weekends, so if I am going to snap a pic to post, it is early in the morning and we know, I just can't live up to what you and others post, BUT, here is my early morning pic before running to work. Voyage Etoffes is my hands-down, favorite design and I have broken my GM rule and have TWO of these but haven't worn the blue one. I am so afraid as it is sooo beautiful, I just want it to stay in its orange crib forever. I opened the box this morning, peeked inside, and shut it again. Can you spell Goofy? So here I am--I think you have all seen this top 29 times. Sorry. xoxox

You are too cute, sparklefriend!!!! I feel a bit Ben Hur when I wear it! BUT, I do love the girly hot pinks, blues, and black/white leopard spots!

sparkle, I love this Etoffes! To this day, I am kicking myself for not buying the black silk/cashmere GM of this when I saw it at the BH store! (My first foray into the Hermes textile world! On that trip, I bought my pink Kachinas shawl ) Glad that I can visit Israeli_flava's beautiful post. Now, back to you!!!! The colors of your post: beautiful warm browns, pinks, soft oranges, coral.........DREAMY!!! You look FABULOUS!!!! One request now that you have whetted our apps, please, oh, please, show us the BLUE!! Let her out of the orange cage, pretty please? I know it is a beauty just by your big tease! ;)

Not fifties but with the gingham maybe sort of.
Your gingham and orange scarf really suits you, you trendy thing .
Congratulations to you and dear LadyB for wowing us with this one .

The blue of your Daimyo coupled with those amazing gingko leaves , just gorgeous . I love gingko trees and have even resorted to taking gingko tablets to speed up the old brain a bit.
Well Equateur who's not enabled? The Klein Blue I fancied like mad was hideous on me :I love the white so need to but don't know that it will love me ...

Seton Still one of my all time favourite designs, and the first one I bought in my second H wearing life.
So many colourways available , I do adore the grey/yellow one and should love to see some more of the rarer c'ways . And the shawl?
I know the shawl has a wonderful border with masks , but have only seen one photo of it ...

Lady, this is so funny as I love the

x
sparklelisab We were getting worried .. no scarves? Is she serious?

Thank goodness serious isn't your most obvious trait !
Love Etoffes in pink , soft luxurious and beautiful .
So show us the blue please!

I got the biggest chuckle from these 2
Well, today was sunny and beautiful so I just couldn't help myself but to break out some winter whites and splash it all up with color galore!!!!! I also wore silk on my B... ;)

IF Totally with you on Cent Plis it passed me by too , and look how well it ties . Love it more and more especially those yummy corners and that horse medallion thing.

froufrou - I am sorry the Klein Bateaux did not work for you. There is a beautiful black version, that is gorgeous and neutral and it will be worth waiting to try on. I am severely tempted myself. And since you liked my cappucine Quataris, the Bateaux also comes in that brilliant colorway too. If the GMs do not work, there are some amazing 90 twills in some fabulous colorways. I love the pale celadon one in the Spring 2013 thread.

Hello dear scarfies, I'm finally back!!!
I can't remember where dear plumtree posted her gorgeous mod pic for the Claire de Lune, but here's mine with my CDC belt! I totally fell in love with this look when I tried it on last night!
