Thank you so much! I am happy to post a flat pic, but in the meantime, there is one on the Hermes and Comme des Garcons thread of it and other designs, too.
(Just in case I forget. :D)

Lady, I am confused. What is this scarf? Explain. I know nothing??? It looks like two patterns???

TY!

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! You are modeling the CS! How are u liking the unusual size? You are making it look quite elegant.

seton, Astrologie in a GM?? Please tell me what you are wearing in the pics honoring Jackie O...you know I die for my Astrologies....

I have to come back and comment later...dang, this thread is moving in light speed!!!

Scarf Addict your Laboratoire du Temps is so beautiful ! So stupid of me that I missed that one.....you look lovely !

Seton - what can I say, your Dies et Hore GM is simply class & perfection and the way you wear it - it's Seton style !

sbelle and arabesques ( I loooooove your lipstick ) - you look gorgeous !

Lanit I love the way you wear your Carre en Carre ! Actually, correction , the way you wear ALL your scarves....

Maedi thank you for your kind words !

et voilà - Femme (dedicated to all strong and passionate women) and Paperoles (a result of my addiction to chocolate :) in action ....thank you for letting me share !

Thank you, Hermesick; red lipstick is something hard to leave the house without—or even be IN the house without. And thank you for sharing these beautiful GMs; that orange is simply divine on you.

I have no new scarf to share (yet... still deciding on SS 2013), but I wanted to take TangoTosca's cue and thank all the wonderful ladies and gents on the thread for the inspiration.

My mom wore (and still wears) H scarves when I was growing up, but never in a particularly inspiring fashion and I found them pretty but a bit matronly. I started looking into some of the designs when I discovered the Napoleon one by Ledoux by accident. I fully fell down the rabbit hole when I found MaiTai's wonderful blog, and then Scarfmoodist, and then TPF.

So many inspirations, but I particularly want to send virtual flowers (tied with an H ribbon, of course) to TangoTosca, whose circus of the scarves thread taught me a lot, arabesques, whose blog I am so glad has been revived, lanit, for convincing me that the cowboy knot was the way to go, sparklelisab, for making me smile, LadyBaga, for her always kind compliments and amazing enabling skills, ScarfAddict, for her beautiful collection and pics, pierina, for putting blue on my mind and sharing her beautiful collection with us, seton, for her encyclopedic knowledge, and.... and I feel like I'm giving an Oscar speech and forgetting to thank one of the producers :D But you all are fantastic inspirations and this thread a very welcome from my decidedly unglamorous work :love::smooch:

Dear Sophie, Thank you! I'm celebrating your red lippie as well as the beautiful event on the horizon. I hope a red scarf is one of the things that pops into your bag when you jet off with your beau; red is the most fabulous color to wear when you're deliriously happy! :D

FrouFrou, this mousse is spectacular and I, too, am so glad your H scarf collection was saved. I never did shoulder pads or mullets either.

Hermesick, what treasures you have. La Femme in that color is superb.

Ladybaga, you lucky one. This CdG is ueber cool. I have the original 90 cm and love getting lost in this design.

PangurBan, what a romantic story with this pochette.

IsraeliFlava, PF is gorgeous and your coat is such a cheery and beautiful pop of color.

Hi Sparklelisab! I just discovered this collaboration between Comme Des Garcons and Hermes last week. On the Hermes section of TPF there is a thread called "Comme Des Garcons X Hermes". It shows links to the collaboration and how to purchase these LE scarves. It also has pictures of each design being offered. The original Hermes pattern "Cheval Surprise" was created in 2006 if I am not mistaken. This is a reissue produced for the sole purpose of the collaboration. The gingham panel is the contribution of Comme Des Garcons. It is actually a type of taffeta sewn on the bottom of the 90cm Cheval. I was mesmerized by the original Cheval Surprise but hadn't begun my scarf journey until 2009 thus missing out on this scarf. When I read that it was offered through CDG, I knew I needed to pounce when I had the chance. I called CDG (NYC store) and placed my order. Apparently, there are 200 of each design. Not sure if that means world wide or per CDG store. These can't be purchased or returned through Hermes. (The thread can tell you more if you are interested.)
The size is 90cm by 110cm so it is an odd size but fun to fold! Hope this helps! :smile1:

Maedi, I count you as my fabulous enabler on Cheval Surprise! I love the modern aspect of it and love looking for the horses, riders and the dog! Thanks to you!!!

I am not sure . . . . what u are asking? I am wearing Astrologie in cash/silk GM in the classic black/gold/white cw. It came out in 2005. I would have gotten all of the cws but none of the others worked for me. DiamondS has a different cw than me. I think she posted hers in the GM thread in Reference.

There are many women who've inspired me over the years I've visited here. Thank you, all. :winkiss::winkiss: And no matter the work crashing on my head, I very much want to offer tribute. Here are a few archive pics; hopefully more can be posted (found or made) later.

My limited edition 70cm Cuisine scarf has wholly Lanit's fault. She posted hers and I HAD to have it. It's the perfect combination of Rouge H, Rouge Vif, and the most beautiful Pink. I would eat it if I could, it's so scrumptious.

The other scarf influence was Scarfmoodist's Fou Imprimteur (sp?). She's not much around these days, but I met her via tPF and then spent the most beautiful times with her while in Paris. I was fortunate to be given a tour of her H collection (a magnificent treasure hoard if ever there was one), and this particular cotton/silk scarf shot an arrow into my heart. I was lucky enough to find another when back home.

Much love, Lanit and Scarfmoodist!

That cuisine is beautiful on you. :). Is that really a 70?? It looks much bigger.. Mine would never drape so nicely... :)

Arabesques - lovely scarves!

Lanit - I adore the CenC pointus - so sad H no longer make them:( I miss Markova too!

sbelle - your Coup de fouet looks great!

Etoile de Mer - I absolutely LOVE that double twilly look it is TDF and the colours look great on you so fresh and bright and cheerful:yes:

On Saturday I passed by the Dover Street Market in Dover St London where they have the Comme de Garcon Hermes scarves and also some of the SS13 that have yet to arrive in the shops - there was no SA handy to show me anything so I left. I am waiting and waiting to see a 90cm Pique Fleurie de Provence IRL - think it is turning into another Vie du Grand Nord/Galop Chromatique - there is always one design that is last to arrive.....

Today wearing my trusty Laboratoire du Temps - it's becoming a bit of a uniform/go to scarf LOL!

Perfect blues!! :)

Oh, here is my contribution (not theme related, so sorry). Shocker of all shockers, it is not a bright scarf! Bold, yes. Bright, no. (except for my skirt in capucine! :D)
I received my collaboration scarf in the mail last Friday. May I present to you "Cheval Surprise" (Hermes and Comme Des Garcons). This is as edgy as I get.:supacool:

Wow! But we need to see the skirt too!!! Love the pairing! :)

LB, Your pics never fail to make me smile...when I see your bright smile!!! Great b/w shot!!! Very on trend with the b/w and spot of color!!!! Lovely and so inspirational!!!!

Well, this is not the best modeling pic of the lovely & colorful pique GM but I snapped a qwik pic as I was super late heading out the door this morning.... trying to brighten up my winter blues...this weather is the pits

Yay!! We finally get to see you in your PF!! You must be loving it bc it definitely loves you!! :(

Hello ladies!

I've been a lurker for a while, but I've only recently plucked up the nerve to join you all and post. Please forgive me for this post being in last week's Valentines theme - my scarf hadn't arrived yet for me to participate. :-) I've got my (new to me) Les Amoureux de Paris gavroche on today. I'm new to the H scarf world, but as soon as I found out about this design, I went looking for it since Paris was where DH proposed (on the Eiffel Tower, no less!). Though I've seen many beautiful scarves, this was the first one to which I felt a real personal affinity, and I know I'll be remembering the excitement of those first few days of our engagement each time I wear it. :smile1:

Thanks for looking!

Glad to have you join us with your mod pic! :) What a great first scarf as it has such a personal meaning to you :)

I posted this in the other thread as well. But realized this eeek's theme is perfect to post here as well. I have to give a big thanks to bijouxlady for making this one happen :). If it weren't for her mod pic of this CSGM, I would never have wanted it. PdM was never up my alley. Too "ornate" in a sense..for me. And then the fact that she told me her store had one left... I jumped right on it.. TY TY TY my dear *V*!!!! :). Mod pic for you :)

PdM in cw 06 capucine/bronze/corail. Just LOVE the capucine!! :)
