Thank you Seton ! Your site is so impressive and very informative ! I wonder how long it took you to collect all this knowledge ? Thank you for sharing !

It gives me great pleasure to be in your company and be able to learn more about H here.

The company should really create a kind of H academy, to develop the brand awarness, which could be also of value for trade mark protection issues or just simply to support all passionate fans and give them additional access to information - I can see the proper leading person here ! and I would love to be your student ! :smile1:

Ah, you are so kind. I'm old and have been collecting for over 20 yrs and H knowledge is a never-ending journey. When I started, there was no ebay. No HSCI. No TPF. Just me traveling around in search of H. Now, with the resources avail on the internet, I think one can become quite knowledge within a yr as long as one applies oneself.

I'm wearing my new silk scarf!

Fantastic! I know that the SAs arent promoting this design that much but I think its pretty good. And ur scarf ring is a Wow!

I've shown this on other threads , so at risk of repeating myself ....introducing my first serious mousseline [ pochette doesn't count ] Eperons d'Or Stole in Lilac, rouge H , grey and pink .
I wasn't prepared to like it so well , and only pressed the button as I could return it . I may be called Frou Frou but that came from student days when I was more frilly . Now all froufrouness has been censored out of my wardrobe . I can see a reversion to type stealing into my look here ,but Spring is in the air and I refuse to stay in one place!

it's so pretty; I can understand ur excitement. and TY for ur kind words.

Agree with both of you!! Seton, your site is outstanding. I, too, am old(er) and have just now discovered tpf, you and MaiTai....so wish I had known sooner. I must bow to your expertise! Amazing!

Yes, yes, H should have an academy...offer classes in the history of the scarves, bags, company, etc. AND give us scarf-tying lessons! For me, it's the stories that make the scarves interesting. The story in C'est La Fete (sp?) is fascinating and adds so much to wearing it with the right attitude! The H website does give more background info that is very enjoyable to watch....as always with H, I want more more more :graucho::graucho:

My Shout-Out is to all the SILKIES!! I adore ALL of you!! The support, humor, kindness, and room that we make to ALL fit in the same rabbit hole thrills me. If I started listing people and their specific spark in my heart, I fear I'd forget someone. I simply can't do it! It is similar to:

"Mom, who do you love most?" "What Birkin is your favorite?" "Which pet would you keep if you could only have one?" Basically, IMPOSSIBLE questions. For me. XO :tender::party:

Dear sparkle, I so agree, and you've said it so well!

Gosh - everyone seems to enable each other here on this particular thread. But here is a silk I wore this weekend, and I attribute it to Markova, whom I miss dearly and do hope she is doing well. A shout out to our H ballerina! Carre en Carre Pointu.

lanit, now you're inspiring me to seek out Pointus! ;) Just the right amount of silk, for this casual, spring look!

There are many women who've inspired me over the years I've visited here. Thank you, all. :winkiss::winkiss: And no matter the work crashing on my head, I very much want to offer tribute. Here are a few archive pics; hopefully more can be posted (found or made) later.

My limited edition 70cm Cuisine scarf has wholly Lanit's fault. She posted hers and I HAD to have it. It's the perfect combination of Rouge H, Rouge Vif, and the most beautiful Pink. I would eat it if I could, it's so scrumptious.

The other scarf influence was Scarfmoodist's Fou Imprimteur (sp?). She's not much around these days, but I met her via tPF and then spent the most beautiful times with her while in Paris. I was fortunate to be given a tour of her H collection (a magnificent treasure hoard if ever there was one), and this particular cotton/silk scarf shot an arrow into my heart. I was lucky enough to find another when back home.

Much love, Lanit and Scarfmoodist!

Love the pink and red palette of your Cuisine, arabesques, and you wear it beautifully!

Etoile de Mer - I absolutely LOVE that double twilly look it is TDF and the colours look great on you so fresh and bright and cheerful:yes:

On Saturday I passed by the Dover Street Market in Dover St London where they have the Comme de Garcon Hermes scarves and also some of the SS13 that have yet to arrive in the shops - there was no SA handy to show me anything so I left. I am waiting and waiting to see a 90cm Pique Fleurie de Provence IRL - think it is turning into another Vie du Grand Nord/Galop Chromatique - there is always one design that is last to arrive.....

Today wearing my trusty Laboratoire du Temps - it's becoming a bit of a uniform/go to scarf LOL!

Dear Scarf Addict, sending many thanks! I'm a confirmed 'double Twilly' girl now, finding one a bit skimpy after often wearing a pair. I love the blue and turquoise coloration of your Laboratoire du Temps, such a gorgeous 'uniform'. :smile1: And I'm assuming your new LdT is a 'big' sister, a la CSGM? Can't wait to see it modelled!

etoile, what a perfect ensemble you have crafted with your Lift pendant and those twillys. The colors put me in the mood for spring as well.

Thank you, Maedi! :smile1:

thank you, dear Maedi :hugs:

as for this wk's theme, I didnt understand it until Tango (who does an amazing job with ea wk's theme BTW, kudos) explained. I am kinda stubborn or set in my ways or something so I didnt find any scarf that I got from seeing a tpfer's pic, altho I love you all.
So, this post is dedicated to one of H's greatest style icon: Jackie O. It wasnt until I was a woman in my 20s living in NYC that I realized just how much Jackie's and Audrey's style still influence the fashion scene here to this day.

Wearing the "Jackie O bag" and the "Jackie O scarf" (modern version: Trim II and GM Shawl)

And special shoutout to Rose, the originator of this long-standing thread.

Such a beautiful shawl, seton! I love this colorway, its such a classic!

Entirely gorgeous, seton. The bag with the contrast stitching is so classic and beautifully complemented by the scarf. I watched a documentary on A. Hepburn last night - a propos. She was so beautiful inside and out and her work as UNICEF ambassador was remarkable.

I so agree, Maedi, Audrey Hepburn was so admired not only for her talent and beauty, but also for her kind spirit, and tremendous generosity. Truly someone to look up to!

et voilà - Femme (dedicated to all strong and passionate women) and Paperoles (a result of my addiction to chocolate :) in action ....thank you for letting me share !

Hermesick, You look beautiful in both of these, and have a wonderful collection! Thanks for sharing with us!

I love the double twillys look with the green pendant - sheer perfection, dear etoile and thanks for sharing!

Thanks you so much, sophieg! :smile1:

SO CHARMING PAIRING..Many congrats !!

Many thanks, spinkapallina!

etoile - the double dose of twillies makes the accessorizing so fun - you look so amazing in blues!

Thank you, dear lanit!

Dear frou frou, this looks beautiful on you! So glad you gave this a chance, as you were meant for each other!

Hello My Beautiful Silky Family,
There are soooo many inspiring people on our thread; I am sorry I can't list every one of you personally. Know how much I cherish each and every one of you and your contributions. Without you all, I would be so rich but scarf poor.:D
First, special thank you to Hermesick and sophieg for naming me as one of your enablers. Your beautiful selves inspire me every time I "see" you here.
Shout outs go to sparklelisab for providing the best laughter on the thread and for sharing pics of her H goodies and sweet animal friends. Israeli_Flava, Thank you for sharing your excitement with me and the crew. I smile every time I read your posts because of your enthusiasm! TangoTosca for her infectious sweetness and being so faithful in posting our weekly themes. I also love your Circus thread, dear Tango, and our field trips to H. You have the best eye for balancing color and pattern. Boy, do I need your help! lanit, Thank you for sharing your love for Pani shar la Pawnee with me. (Even though he is MY scarf boyfriend, it was your posts that made me fall in love with this design.) Thank you also for showing me how to wear scarves paired with simple jackets, sweaters, and tops to really make an entire outfit sing! You are soooo good at this! TankerToad, You are always up to something good, so thank you for showing me the latest and greatest H has to offer. You are so stylish! arabesques, (Love your pink/red "Cuisine") You and your blog bring so much joy to me. Thank you for sharing your collection and gorgeous photos! I love how you take us on the most exciting journeys. Scarf Addict, My Grand Enabler! I have named all of my pink scarves after you! You also showed me how to pair so many scarves with purple cashmere! I bought one of these sweaters just because of you! Thank you!!! Your blog is my weekly dose of inspiration! LOVE IT! Before I forget, it was your purple FdI that sent me sliding down the Hermes Slope. pierina, My turquoise queen! Your effortless styling is so chic. I LOVE that you collect all things blue. Your blue scarf family sends me to heaven every time one of your pictures appears. I started out with zero blue scarves, and now I have 12 or is it 13? Whenever I wear my blue scarves, you always come to mind. TankerToadand lala, You both enabled me with my first 140 mousse, "Ships in a Bottle" or whatever the beautiful French name is for that one. The shimmery blues, violets, and pinks make me weak in the knees. I always think of the two of you when this one comes out of the box. VnSoie, My Purple Scarf Friend, You are the prettiest model in soft grays and lilac. I wish I could wear soft, but alas, my coloring won't allow it. Still, I love having a pastel wearing friend, and YOU are the best! Thanks for hanging out with me, the LOUD one. On another note, one specific scarf that comes to mind that I bought at the same time as our lovely BalLVlover is "Geometrie". Bal was trying it on and bought one and as the sweet SA was boxing it up, I said "I'll have what she's having." Yes, I copied her right then and there. Same colorway and everything. (So glad there were two!) So, Thank you , Bal for instant enabling! Which reminds me of dear deborah. It was your Couvetures in pink dip dye that made me jump on the dip dye band wagon. I became your scarf cousin when I purchased this design in red dip dye. I still can see your picture in my mind of you modeling yours. You are so pretty! frou frou, pierina ,lanit, markova, pussywillow, HermesHeroine, you all were a part of my early days in collecting, and I thank you for your guidance and expertise in choosing scarves! seton, what can I say, but THANK YOU for loving me in all colors of the rainbow. Your complements send me to the moon and back! I so enjoy reading your posts and seeing your amazing collection! TextileGirl, My Green Gorgeous Machine!!! You are so inspiring in all things green! My green scarves remind me of you! You, yes, you have encouraged me to continue in all of my Little Miss Matchy Matchiness.

As mentioned earlier, I want to say thank you to everyone for posting pics and enabling me! I need at least ten pages to post my gratitude to every single person. My apologies for missing some of you. Know that you are loved!

Oh, here is my contribution (not theme related, so sorry). Shocker of all shockers, it is not a bright scarf! Bold, yes. Bright, no. (except for my skirt in capucine! :D)
I received my collaboration scarf in the mail last Friday. May I present to you "Cheval Surprise" (Hermes and Comme Des Garcons). This is as edgy as I get.:supacool:

And I'm continually inspired by the creativity, generosity, and thoughtfulness of all who post. Sending many thanks to everyone! :smile1:
