I have no new scarf to share (yet... still deciding on SS 2013), but I wanted to take TangoTosca's cue and thank all the wonderful ladies and gents on the thread for the inspiration.

My mom wore (and still wears) H scarves when I was growing up, but never in a particularly inspiring fashion and I found them pretty but a bit matronly. I started looking into some of the designs when I discovered the Napoleon one by Ledoux by accident. I fully fell down the rabbit hole when I found MaiTai's wonderful blog, and then Scarfmoodist, and then TPF.

So many inspirations, but I particularly want to send virtual flowers (tied with an H ribbon, of course) to TangoTosca, whose circus of the scarves thread taught me a lot, arabesques, whose blog I am so glad has been revived, lanit, for convincing me that the cowboy knot was the way to go, sparklelisab, for making me smile, LadyBaga, for her always kind compliments and amazing enabling skills, ScarfAddict, for her beautiful collection and pics, pierina, for putting blue on my mind and sharing her beautiful collection with us, seton, for her encyclopedic knowledge, and.... and I feel like I'm giving an Oscar speech and forgetting to thank one of the producers :D But you all are fantastic inspirations and this thread a very welcome from my decidedly unglamorous work :love::smooch:

I like the result of your addiction to chocolate, Hermesick :D Your Paperoles is beautiful in orange, and I love the soft colors of the La Femme GM on you

thank you, dear Maedi :hugs:

as for this wk's theme, I didnt understand it until Tango (who does an amazing job with ea wk's theme BTW, kudos) explained. I am kinda stubborn or set in my ways or something so I didnt find any scarf that I got from seeing a tpfer's pic, altho I love you all.
So, this post is dedicated to one of H's greatest style icon: Jackie O. It wasnt until I was a woman in my 20s living in NYC that I realized just how much Jackie's and Audrey's style still influence the fashion scene here to this day.

So classic, seton - thank you for sharing. Did you see the NYTimes T magazine with Lee Radziwill this weekend? I didn't spot any H in the article, but the photos were a wonderful walk through style and time

Arabesques - lovely scarves!

Lanit - I adore the CenC pointus - so sad H no longer make them:( I miss Markova too!

sbelle - your Coup de fouet looks great!

Etoile de Mer - I absolutely LOVE that double twilly look it is TDF and the colours look great on you so fresh and bright and cheerful:yes:

On Saturday I passed by the Dover Street Market in Dover St London where they have the Comme de Garcon Hermes scarves and also some of the SS13 that have yet to arrive in the shops - there was no SA handy to show me anything so I left. I am waiting and waiting to see a 90cm Pique Fleurie de Provence IRL - think it is turning into another Vie du Grand Nord/Galop Chromatique - there is always one design that is last to arrive.....

Today wearing my trusty Laboratoire du Temps - it's becoming a bit of a uniform/go to scarf LOL!
Hello, scarf twin! My blue LDT has become a bit of a go-to as well -so great with blues and greys, and the little pictures always make me smile. Do keep us posted on the new season's finds, dear Scarf Addict! I tried on a Pique Fleuri 90 a few weeks ago, and it didn't work on me, but I'm pining to see the Songe de la Licorne in some of the CWs that are up on H.com Canada!

There are many women who've inspired me over the years I've visited here. Thank you, all. :winkiss::winkiss: And no matter the work crashing on my head, I very much want to offer tribute. Here are a few archive pics; hopefully more can be posted (found or made) later.

My limited edition 70cm Cuisine scarf has wholly Lanit's fault. She posted hers and I HAD to have it. It's the perfect combination of Rouge H, Rouge Vif, and the most beautiful Pink. I would eat it if I could, it's so scrumptious.

The other scarf influence was Scarfmoodist's Fou Imprimteur (sp?). She's not much around these days, but I met her via tPF and then spent the most beautiful times with her while in Paris. I was fortunate to be given a tour of her H collection (a magnificent treasure hoard if ever there was one), and this particular cotton/silk scarf shot an arrow into my heart. I was lucky enough to find another when back home.

Much love, Lanit and Scarfmoodist!

You look wonderful in the red Cuisine, dear Arabesques - I loved that picture on version 1 of your blog when you wore it to cook! I have finally tracked down a red lipstick I can wear, thanks to your inspiration, and I think a red scarf might have to be next!

Inspired by pierina, our reigning queen of blues and greens :queen:, I'm wearing a pair of Jeu des Omnibus Twillys, with my green Lift pendant. Spring is in the air! And I'm continually inspired by the creativity, generosity, and thoughtfulness of all who post. Sending many thanks to everyone! :smile1:

I love the double twillys look with the green pendant - sheer perfection, dear etoile and thanks for sharing!

What a stunning and dramatic combination seton! This colorway of Astrologie is perfection with your Trim.

arabesques
- I will keep your Hart Deco wish silk in mind. It is indeed a fabulous stole.

hermesick - two most beautiiful grails. I especially love the Paperoles in this colorway. Now there are three GMs of yours that I crave. :)

etoile - the double dose of twillies makes the accessorizing so fun - you look so amazing in blues!

Thank you Scarfie, arabesques, seton, maedi, sophie and hermesick. The pointus come in handy especially when dining:)

the Jackie O is called Astrologie. I dont usually linky but I have a page on it if you would like to familiarize yourself more with it: http://hermes.digitalurbana.com/2008/01/astrologie-1963/
Your 2 GMs look amazing on you. I like how u pick up the blues in your Femme. And I know bright matte is in vogue but love the soft glossy lips today.

So classic, seton - thank you for sharing. Did you see the NYTimes T magazine with Lee Radziwill this weekend? I didn't spot any H in the article, but the photos were a wonderful walk through style and time

TY, sophieg. I havent looked at the NYT yet but I do have a new Jackie O bio on my nightstand to read. I do like the james Spada Jackie bk which is mostly candid pics, a lot of H in there. I have it somewhere in my library and when I have the time, I will scan and add to the Vintage Pix thread which I have already contributed quite a bit to.

What a stunning and dramatic combination seton! This colorway of Astrologie is perfection with your Trim.

TY, lanit.
Also, TY to arabesque, wantit, and maedi for you lovely words.

Thank you Seton ! Your site is so impressive and very informative ! I wonder how long it took you to collect all this knowledge ? Thank you for sharing !

It gives me great pleasure to be in your company and be able to learn more about H here.

The company should really create a kind of H academy, to develop the brand awarness, which could be also of value for trade mark protection issues or just simply to support all passionate fans and give them additional access to information - I can see the proper leading person here ! and I would love to be your student ! :smile1:

Like everyone else I want to thank all of you here for the inspiration ,warm encouragement and friendship that abounds on SOTD
My own story started with wanting to get rid of the handful of H scarves I'd had unworn for 20 yrs . I'd decided I loathed the look and would never want to wear them again .
before sending them to charity shops I googled and found a blog ....or two or three.
First was Scarf Addict and I fell in love with her Carnaval de Venise and thought I'd have to try that one : Scarf Addict thankyou!
Also sending thanks to Mai tai and Arabesques for styling ideas that showed me they weren't quite as old fashioned as I'd thought . My Belle de Mexique gavroches were inspired by MaiTai and Ballet Russes by Arabesques

I did think they were all mad: how could anyone need so many scarves ? :lolots:
