I'm sure I'm not the first person to make this connection, but on further reflection, I can't help but see Wilma Flintstone's "pearl" necklace in my silver Reve de Corail LOL :D

Yabba dabba doo!!!!!!

No Tango, I think you were the first person to peg this! I love Wilma and my Corail. I have one my link to the scarf of pearls!

Here is my Voyage en Etoffes. One of my absolute favorite scarves. Complete with monkey. This is from the archives because I posted it a few months ago. I guess I should have posted this for the transition between red and Annie weeks.

Fritillary, your pieces are over the top gorgeous. I don't think you have one scarf/shawl that I do not love. The cw of this is breathtaking! thank you for sharing

frittilaryb

that is a very pretty colorway of Voyage. Here's my GM of it, also from the archives since it is too hot here to wear this today!

Oh my goodness--and in a shawl!!! Stunning.

Wow this design is so pretty! It's a pity I've only started being a scarfie this season. Thanks for sharing! Love Annie's designs.

Vinia honey, I too am new. A little advice-do not look in the past--keep your nose forward because finding the mind-blowing beauties of the past can make a sane woman, obsessed!

I am totally with Ladybaga on this one John! fantastic colors!!!
loving the knot on the 2nd Foto

John, I third that!

Tango and Scarfie - I did my best - and really - those bubbles came awfully close if Ms. F. had put a few more strokes in them to fool the eye!

fritillary - I am truly envious of this VeE silk - I passed two times on this identical colorway due to limited funds or pursuits, and now wish it was in my collection! Love this on you.

LTC - OMG - the Kimonos is stunning! What a gorgeous colorway and unique find! Now I have a new grail dear!

And speaking of grails - I am really keen on La Vie's gorgeous VeE GM in this colorway for spring! I wonder if these colors were available in the Au Fil du Carre GM? Beautiful photos dear!

In the meantime, I was panicking thinking that perhaps my La Charmante gavroche did not have the little guy, but there he is in the lower center section, after searching a good five minutes. There will be an encore performance of this pochette for our next theme week, Double your Pleasure.

Lanit, you make a little gavoche knockout stunning. The contrast hem is so charming and adds fun to a scarf.

I often wonder why more scarves don't come with contast hems...who could not love and want them always???

:hugs:I hope you find the perfect shawl---or maybe even not a shawl---for you! What I was mainly responding to were comments about how shawls that others thought were fabulous (Brazil, ExLenK, Tendresse F) didn't seem to really appeal when you tried them on. But you're right, it could be the colorways, so best to clear your mind, keep it open, try things on with your SA's help, and who knows what you'll discover!!

It strikes me that learning our true scarf styles and philosophy is a journey to self-knowledge! I mean, beyond just scarves! Awesome.

Euridice, thank you my sweet. I found the shawl. I found my first one (once Mors goes back home to San Francisco)

Scarfies, I haven't even taken my shawl back and I found Ms. Perfect. Most of you have it already as I have been lurking through archives for months-- I just bought this shawl brand new!!!

WOW! Holy crap! oops, excuse my language. Wow, I am so JEALOUS---err, I mean OVERJOYED for you!! Brand new? This stunning colorway?? You have struck GOLD!!!

This has all the Euridice-certified elements of the perfect shawl or scarf: rich color and major contrast and ability to see all the exquisite details of the design!! I couldn't be happier for you. This is one of the most special Hermes designs ever, and it's your first!

Oh wow, I can't wait to see how those blueish and greenish bits of color show up against the other colors, this will be amazing! Oh wow, great for fall!! Um, I think I'll stop typing now... otherwise I'll blabber on for days!

Sparkle - you have landed a GRAIL my dear. There is an ODE TO LA FEMME thread that you must visit and post when you get yours! This is a fantastic shawl on, and pushes all the buttons you were craving! And I bet it will look fabulous on you! Plus it goes with your gorgeous new bag too! WOW.

Thank you so much John and sparkle - now I admit I am 'guilty as charged' for liking pochettes that have contrasting hems. John - aren't you glad you did you duty to avoid more legal puns LOL?

Sending many thanks to Bienchen, sophiac, Ladybaga, essiedub, lanit, frou frou, Euridice, hair-mess, and TangoTosca, for all the kind comments regarding my monkey pochette! My apologies for the group thank you…I've stepped away for only a few days and now have little chance of catching up in much detail! A brief attempt below…

sophiac, I believe my monkey pochette was from about 3 years ago, and was part of the men's collection. The number at the very bottom of the tag (pictured in my second photo, on page 22 of this thread) is the reference number. A sales associate could easily look it up, to tell you if it's still available. Good luck!

frou frou, Your comment made me laugh, and I do clearly need an Annie Faivre, as I love monkeys! Hopefully a colorway and pattern will come along soon, that makes my heart sing!

hermesguy, Ballet Russe with the orange shirt…stunning!

Euridice, Congratlulations on finding the shawl you've longed for! Part of the fun of Hermes, I think, is the serendipity!

sushi queen, Your Grands Fonds bangle is so fun, and as lanit noted, I love the grand, oversized scale of the pattern, as applied to the bracelet!

Pegase, I love the casual, chic look!

sparklelisab, I'm so glad you've found the perfect replacement, for the shawl you've decided to return.

Ladybaga, Wow…love your Grand Fonds pochette. Spectacular color way, and styling!

TangoTosca, Love the reference to Wilma…and she did the classic, less-is-more look so well!

And I've loved seeing all the monkeys! Thanks everyone, for all the sleuthing, and posting!

Lanit, this look is pure perfection!! Ooh can't wait to see what you do with it next week.

I keep cheating on finding the monkeys, I knew where to find it on Charmante because of Iris g's blog! :D

Euridice, I love the way you think! I will quote you on "everyone needs one gold and one silver Tresors" to my husband. It makes perfect sense to me! (I already have TR 05, so now I want your blue/gold one and scarf addict's pink/gold!!! (Truth be told!):D

Hmm, two gold---that means you need another silver to go with TR 5. :graucho:
Vinia, I agree with you. Reve d Corail would be amazing in a shawl!!!

Oh, please, please make there be a shawl!! Ye gods of Hermes, please make Reve d Corail a shawl!!!!!!

As my first shawl, I purchased the Kachinas for sentimental reasons. I love the Kachinas, but still can't get the black Voyage out of my mind. :smile1:

My first was Kachinas, too!

So gorgeous! What a marvelous colorway!!

I haven't taken an action pic, but here's my favourite Annie Faivre scarf "Kimono et Inros".:

Thanks for letting me share. Off to see if I can find a little monkey...

Special thanks to beautiful Tango Tosca for being a wealth of knowledge.

Wow so pretty, thanks for sharing! I can see how versatile this would be depending on which way you fold this on the bias!

Gasp! :faint: This GM is so gorgeous!!

Second cousin to each of you, Fritillary and Tango on Aux Pays des Epices. This black is defintely the Tex-Mex version...LOL!

John in DFW, T-E-X-A-S

Awesome colorway, you are a master with color, always pairing your scarves with the perfect shirt!

Thanks, etoile de mer!!

my cell phone shrank my pics today when I was mailing them to myself---appropriate since I don't want to post big huge pics of a non Annie Faivre scarf! It's a great day when you can wear a 90 cashmere the whole day comfortably. Scarves have made me obsessed with weather, gah!

Lisa, I'm orange, er, green with envy! That is one fantastic scarf, and you must look wonderful in it. Your happiness with it comes through your message and contrasts with your words about the Mors. Congratulations!

The Scarf Universe moves in mysterious ways, it's wonders to behold. Sometimes when you've given up all hope of obtaining something, it falls into your lap, occasionally with still with the tags attached!

What a whirlwind week it's been for you. Elation, disappointment, elation again, this time to stay. Blossom could not have a better companion.

I am so happy for you, Sparkles, and I can't wait to see you model it for us. :hbeat:

Deep in the Heart of Texas!

I think it's marvelous how many people from Texas are on the Hermes forum. There's a least half a dozen in Houston, probably the same in Dallas, a few in Austin, San Antone, Corpus...

It's funny you dub yours the "Tex-Mex" scarf, because a fellow tPFer named my brown and red colorway the "Gumbo" scarf in honor of my Louisiana roots, and the fact that that shade of brown is just about the right color for a perfect roux.
