sophieg - thank you and so am I. Not too much rain/snow this winter, but when it is cold, one automatically tends to grab the warmer fabrics. But now it's time for silk, silk and silk again! :D

lanit - thank you, but one of my nyrs is still to also take out my other silks more often. They're already pouting in their cupboard. You look absolutely lovely as always and that's really a very chic bag - wishing you lots of fun, wearing it! Loving the green as well, just perfect for spring! :flowers:

sparklelisab - thank you and you're right; it's such a subtle, yet with the little touches of orange also happy allrounder. Speaking of happy orange - absolutely adore your "drapey" contribution.

Iris j - what a stunning and fresh combination of red and purple!

Deborah1986 - hope, your lunch was just as great as your look!

essiedub - beautiful scarf

pierina2 - awesome GM, suits you so well!

Maedi - Happy belated B-Day from me also! :balloon:

RoseUSA - Thank you and hope, you enjoyed your chocolate treat! Always happy to see silks worn on the head and wish I could pull it off in such a casual manner. :girlsigh:

TangoTosca - Thank you. And I just love your combination of blue and green; so classic and always chic! :woohoo:

fritillaryB - such a wonderful, soft look; makes me think about taking a look at light pink asap!

Ladybaga - hope, you're feeling better and if so, please pass me some of that NyQuil, as I seem to have caught some type of bug as well. :push:

textilegirl - very chic combination!

Scarf Addict - such a fan of your "tricolor" red, blue and white!

fritillaryB - totally get your love for GMs; you look great sporting that T. Felines and the same goes for Au Fil du Carre

la Vie en Rose - très elegant! :girlsigh:

pussywillow - just perfect!

Pegase - great look!

Already dear scarfies - I've been trying to fight and ignore this all morning, but after checking my temperature and feeling quite miserable, I'll now head to bed, before this gets any worse. Quite annoyed :pout:, as you can imagine and hope to be BIA in a couple! (PS: And could somebody please switch of that voice in the back of my head, telling me that it was actually too cold to go for a stroll without socks/stockings yet?)

Thank you all for the get well wishes! I am off to the doctor today!
hair-mess, Sending you NyQuil ! I hope you get to feeling better. I am so impressed that you posted your beautiful self sporting that lovely red Coupons. When I stop coughing, I will post. (Hopefully, soon.) Do any of you feel like whenever the weather or illness keeps you from being able to wear a scarf, you find yourself going into "scarf withdrawal"? I am homesick for my silks! Oh my goodness, it is raining like mad!!!

Hello Everyone!

Alright Pegase and essiedub, looks like I'm going to have to eat my words.... and they taste a lot like pheasant :p But don't worry, Sparklelisab, Phil's safe.

The feathers are indeed beautiful, but the heads of the birds playing "possum" (as we now have decided they are) still aren't my favorite thing. With some creative tying, of course, the beaks could be hidden, and just the gorgeous feathers displayed.

Thanks for another take on Belle Chasse, Pegase!

The new thread is already on fire :woohoo:

TangoTosca, :worthy: thanks for organizing the topics, I can't wait to see everyone's contributions!

Get better soon, hair-mess and Ladybaga!

Pussywillow, that's a great knot on your Printemps Ete 70!

RoseUSA, Alphabet III looks like a great neutral!

Pegase, OK we all concede that the dead birds have a lovely texture :p:D

laVieenRose beautiful!

Sparkliesab I had never seen a baby turkey so thanks for the shot, and have fun with your menagerie of silks and critters!

FritillaryB Enjoy your new GMs, they're both gorgeous on you!

Textilegirl that's a great look with your Farandole necklace

Belle Chasse is just a little too close for comfort for Phil, I'd guess.

However, whatever your take on dead birds, if you look at this with aesthetic eyes, this is amazing art around your neck, Pegase. The sheen of the feathers is incredibly lifelike - doesn't it feel even a teeny bit ticklish?!!!!

Warm get well wishes to you both :flowers:.

Ladybaga, over here with the climatic vagaries of the UK, one bright side is that you could pretty much wear a silk scarf any given month of the year. I do put all silk aside in high summer and during holidays.

Even then, when the temperatures rise, I like to audit my modest Orange stock: it's a bit like opening the Christmas decorations box from the attic, even forgotten 'ornaments' accrue a much loved status having been put aside for a while.

Hairmess, when you're feeling well again, please elucidate how you tied the CI in your full length shot - your wondrous knotting seems an amalgam of the waterfall and bias fold?

This scarf seems to suit so many, apart from its own inherent chameleon qualities, in this colour way. Really lovely!

Fritillary and Metz, I am dying laughing:lolots: at your hypothesis about the acting of birds. Yes, yes, that's the ticket. Honey, those aren't dead birds, they are just pretending...Lassie doesn't die, it's all pretend, no those horses falling off of the cliff are just "play-acting." I LOVE it! And Sweet Essie, it is a crazy hail, rain storm here in sunny California,:sunshine: but I went outside to take a picture of Phil, our pet Pheasant to honor you and your scarf. And then for anyone wondering what that big old turkey on the Turkey Scarf looked like before he got that big???--I literally bought two baby turkeys Saturday in honor of my Silkie-Scarfie friends, and the Texas Turkey Scarf! My dh just shook his head. They are in an aquarium in my service porch until I figure something out... If you have never seen a baby turkey, this is Gobble. His brother's name is Gobble too! Pets. So happy.

Love Phil! Thanks for posting (keep him away from Hermes artists)

Thanks for another take on Belle Chasse, Pegase![/QUOTE]

- Always a pleasure !! (as a guy, you have to have another approach to the styling/draping of the scarfs... witch is kinda fun! I mean, i would not want to NOT be able to wear them!!!)

@
pussywillow
- I know!its just incredibly gorgeous! it might not be quite the tickling on the neck that you mean... but I like how the feeling you have when when you wear a piece like this, even makes you move and behave in a specific manner...

@ Ladybaga
- get well soon!!!

OMG (as the kids would say)! Another Belle Chasses:laugh:

La Vie en Rose, Love the NYC black! ...and the Leopards with the blue bird-had not noticed that detail.

Yikes! We are at page 3 ALREADY???

Pegase, had no idea you were one of our guys; where's everyone else?

TangoTosca, can't wait for the finished list. It's going in my calendar!

Where's GollyG? Haven't seen her in a while.

Yes, :happydance:I can post one of my red scarves here !!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet miss (or mister?) Quadrige :

definitely red inside, no ?

Thank you Pussywillow & Sparklelisab - glad you like the Ex Libris en Kimono.

PW - Nope didn't buy a thing on Saturday - hurrah!!! Maybe I am cracking the addiction at last. TBH nothing really rocked when I tried it on, in fact I found the Dior scarf counter next to H in Harrods had more "me" scarves:amazed:

Sparkle - I just try the scarves with my colours and mostly they work! give it a go - even if it only has teeny weeny bit of the colour if you team it with a sweater of the same it will bring out the colour. Just like scarves with a hint of blue make blue eyes stand out more.

Look at these lovely new silks everyone has! Red Week is here!

Scarfie - ELK - your red top really brings out the colors so dramatically.

fritillary - gorgeous new shawls - congrats on these stunning designs!

laVie - I really adore that alphabet silk in b/w - it is so fun and not scary to me at all. Very Chic. And the tiger shawl is spectacular on you.

pussywillow - Printemps is so fresh for spring/summer! Love how you tied it!

Pegase - welcome and I knew those feathered fowl friends would eventually be seen in their splendor. Great photos and colors!

hairmess - your on the go snaps are so much fun- like you have a roving camera person following you around! Coupons is ideal and pops on you! And thank you on the new vintage bag - as soon as the rain stops I can really take her out for more spins!

One from the archives - L'Pegase silk in the red colorway - I nearly gave her up a couple of times and the bright colored wings keep cheering me on.
