Euridice - what a great story. I loved reading it and congratulations on both this stunning scarf and your bag (I cannot wait to see which one you chose. Is it your first?)

I always have the hardest time posting pictures. DH came to my help. So finally a few snaps from the past weeks, some oldies, some newer ones. :smile1:

Fleurs d'Indiennes - one of my very favorite scarves in a color I probably wouldn't have picked if I hadn't tried it first. Furthermore, I bought this at the Festival de Metiers after seeing this design printed right there albeit in different colors so I have fond associations with this scarf.
Jungle Love in yellow which is a great color for this pattern.
Cheval Marwari in orange - orange is difficult for me to wear as you can see by the strange color of my chin.:D

More happy belated Happy Birthday wishes!! Sorry to be so far behind, but thank you Maedi for all of the lovely pictures! You have some beautiful scarves....hard to choose a favorite.

Many belated thanks re the Lalbhai shawls, to frou frou, arabesques, lanit, Iris j, sophieg, textilegirl, pussywillow and Bienchen.

lanit - You're stunning in the Tigre Royale section of your CenC, those colors are a knock out! Also loving the coral Jardins and your beautifully understated Au Couer de la Vie and Les Danses des Indiens. Thought about posting that one too for scary scarf week...

spohieg - Many congratulations on your new Point d'Orgue. Those colors are splendid on you and better still that it works so well with your wardrobe.

Nice look with the Dame de Coeur, Iris j.

pussywillow - A lovely knot showing off the border of J'aime mon Carre. As a horse lover the eye of Quadrige is fine, like the horse's eye in the Bete de Concours. But if you're not happy with it, it could always find a home here! :D

Wow Euridice, so excited that you found that glorious Axis Mundi! There's hope for all of our grail quests.

As appealing as your Pois is, papertiger, your kitty is even more so! Any pics of his face?

Your Joyaux de l'Ete is just wonderful, fritillaryB, and the blue's pretty gorgeous too. The insects are so well done.

Love Persona, sushi queen, but have never bought it because of the scary faces. Silly, when it's so fantastic.

Bold and fearless Cave Felem, Tango Tosca, and the colors are so 'you'!

A vision of Spring, MeztFan, thank you.

Very glad that your ailing kitty is better, RoseUSA, and that you have another one to add to the family.

With you on the 'hair'scarf, Jahna, but can see how it would be fun to wear!

Your Alphabet III is delightful, La Vie en Rose, even with the somewhat contorted animals. It must be really pretty when tied.

Thank you, pierina. I love Dragonflies - they are so jewelry-like and beautiful. I also love Praying Mantis :smile1: Your two mousses together are spectacular and what a great idea!
iris - gorgeous DauC around your waist. I love these colors and I love how you combine red and purple together.
lanit - Les Danses des Indiens has such wonderful details and shading. This has never been on my radar and it is gorgeous! Congratulations on your Christine - I like that shape of a bag very much. It's so practical.
papertiger - your kitty is too cute. I shoosh mine off the H scarves. One of them has very long claws.
ladybaga - thanks so much. I am honored that you like my scarves. Was your week of relaxing? I have missed you. :smile1:
sparklelisab - those two yellow scarves are beautiful together - great choices!
fritillary - I loved to read your description of the insects on lanit's scarf. Thank you!
Deborah - you look great and I hope you will be healthy from now on out - no more pneumonia.
I still have on scary excerpt of a scarf in mind - will try to take pictures tomorrow.

Happy Belated B'day Maedi!:partyhat:

 Pretty!

A close up of Christine and Pani Pointu Madras. TGIF! P.S. In honor of St. Pat's tomorrow can we all wear green silks?

:hbeat: Ms. Christine w/Pani Pointu Madras.

So Ok, it is green today. I'll go look up a green later.

How about "favorite color" week next week? I would love to see what particular colors people love...

Here's what still have on the books, but after that the calender is open. We really need to get some things together for the future...

18 March 2012 Red scarves!
25 March 2012 Show off your Annie Faivre designs

I'm at a conference, but wearing my Jardins d'Armenie mousse---it's got a smidge of green in it! Yesterday it was, surprise surprise, Axis Mundi! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Oh TangoTosca, happiness is RED!! Any red? Mauvy red? Orangy red? Cherry red? Dark red? Where does red stop and pink begin? So many colorful questions to consider...:laugh:

To add a couple of ideas to the list you posted last week, Tango:
Collections. Scarves that feature collections of objects such as Alliances du Monde, Flacons, Parures du Vent, and so on.
Architecture. Buildings, bridges, etc.
H does H. Scarves that refer back to the company, its founders, its previous designs, etc. Or that have "H" or "Hermes" as part of the design, apart from the usual copyright/label words.

Also, I think Michel (and others) have discussed tying two (or more?) together?

How about some weeks devoted to a designer. to a year, or span of years? I would love to add all that to my knowledge. Or Tango, you have such a wealth of "discussions" on your scarf circus; perhaps we could have a week of "stories and lore"? Yum Yum. Totally self-serving (I am such a knowledge freak/geek)

:true: :p

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY TO ALL THE SCARFIES!

Thank you Pierina, fritillary, IFFAH and Maedi - for your kind compliments.

Pierina - marvelous on the mousse combinations and even though the dolls do range into the scary territory, I would love to see the new 140 summer silk -it should be soon!

Fritillary - thank you for the tidbits on the insects - you are a wealth of knowledge and I now know to stay away from those carnivorous plants! Poor little buggies.

I love Metzfan's ideas for themes, and Jahna's as well. Tying Two on for Michel would be great!

My little bit of Irish to avoid the pinch.

Alright, it looks like it's time to get organized for this upcoming spring's Theme Weeks. GollyG handled it last time, and Bienchen before her, but if no one else wants to, I volunteer to be keeper of the Theme Week and to put update my signature with the upcoming themes.

Let's start throwing out ideas....

I've already got a list going thanks to Metzfan and Jahna

Let's brainstorm this over the new several days, maybe setting a deadline for next Saturday, and to make this easier on me, if you would please respond to this post (or any that originate from me) when you do you, so I'll sure to get a copy and won't inadvertently miss anyone's contributions.

I'll make notes, do some arranging of themes so that we don't have two color weeks or two designer weeks back to back, assign them dates, and then...

Away we go! :happydance:
