Jahna, your "Eva" scarf takes the cake! Have you actually tried it on?TangoTosca. "The Blank"??? I don't remember him. I remember Gravel Gertie....
OK, Creepy scarves...
I find this a bit creepy (although I own one for when I want to change my hair color). This from HSCI:
Sparklie you look fantastic! Think of the "messy" drape as beautifully unstructuredEssiedub, this line just did me in!-- "The feather detail and colors are really beautiful and the birds do look somewhat content ?" What a precious comment and to admit you own the dead bird scarf is hilarious!
And Tango, you are on a roll with your reference to film! Dang funny.
Scarfies, I have decided that with my height, the "drapey" look works on me. I was so happy today with all my silk swishing around, but have a problem with the drape staying in the oh-most-spectacular place, but resign myself to the messy drape as I do wrinkled linen. It's all part of the look, beauty, and confidence. My second "double" look with my new scarves I posted last week!
The animals are practicing their best gym moves on this, for sure. But it's lovely in black and white, laVieenRose!I have been lurking, and so enjoying this discussion and exhibit of scary, creepy scarves. This one, Alphabet III by Annie Faivre, I bought (at a consignment shop) because I was intrigued by the design. However, I do find it a bit creepy, what with the animals in weird positions in order to spell out Hermès.
Thank you for your kind words on my new scarf, IrisJ. I'm not an official member (need to look into what account to set up for that) but I'm loving your blog. And Dame de Coeur is really pretty on you in this CW!On Dame de Cur from last season, there are so many amazing creatures!
Some of them disturb me, but love the color harmony when it is tied!
Looking great, Deborah1986! May I ask what design this is - it's gorgeous in purple!Have a great weekend everyone.Today for lunch with a friend..
Essiedub, your last photo really shows that some scarves look oh so completely different when tied! I wouldn't guess it was a Trophee de Chasse-themed scarf if I saw it tied around your neck, the same way I guess the turkey disappears on the Texas scarfOK here it is - my scary "dead bird" scarf (sans moi - the self photo was really scary)
Belle Chasses by Henri de Linares
I loove your new Christine, lanit! Thanks for the detail shots too - it's funny, Pani and Cosmogonie Apache are two scarves that I would hang on my wall as art because they are beautiful, but not wear because well yeah they're an Indian chief's head!I am plumb out of scary silks - I looked at every creature in Au Vie de la Coeur - and suffice to say, only two 'scarabs' appeared and in my mind are bottom of the food chain for the other animals so beautifully depicted. Think they will not last long on this scene.
Then the Pow wow medicinal men on Les Danses des Indiens, one of my favorite silks are quite scary, but are again counter balanced by the other fabulous depictions of tribe life. But remembering froufrou's headless horseman, I wore Pani Pointu yesterday with a new to me vintage Christine Barenia/Toile bag and I chuckled thinking everytime I wear it, the poor Chief's head does get lopped off when worn cowboy style! Still love him though, and I hope everyone has a super duper weekend.

Deborah, Have fun at lunch! Lovely purple scarf!!!![]()
AhDeborah1968, it is good to see you looking so happy! I don't know why but your breakup struck me as particularly poignant. Love the purple!

I bought my first GM today. The slope just got slipperier. I am going to blame Pierinia because her GM posts are so inspiring. I will post some pics soon.
Thank you it was a lovely day with my friend
Ah, it's not poignant..i broke up with him, because it was a total another person then in the beginning i didn't recognized him anymore..first he was very sweet, happy, very careful. Then we went a weekend away..in january it was all good, then we came back and he was thinking that we spend all days together .. he was always dissapointment when i had another appointments and my own life. He want me all by himself ..and we had a lot off arguments every week about the same point : He want more time with me and i want some time with my family and he don't understand that. He was also very controlling and wanted to know everything what i am doing..and with who. My family and i are very very close, he can't understand that eighter..bad for him but i can't take it anymore..he was like a child and needed much attention, but my health is not so good..and i need much space and need a break..bad lungs..and astma ..so i need much rest for myself. He make also very rude comments about me about my mental health he was thinking i was going crazy that hurt me so much ( in the winter i have always like a little depression because i hate the winter and that influence my mood
ush
..and make comments about the gifts he gave me..like i spend all that money on you and you do nothing . The depression was getting worse and i was crying all the time because he don't understood me. So after a month of fights i was done with it. He did also of he had a lot of friends and always was busy with things and going out..the truth was that he has no hobby , or sport,or friends ..
Now it's a month after the break-up i don't miss him or anything. It's going awesome after the pneumonia that i had a week after the break-up.It have been a great week..i did a lot of things and i am happy now.
That's the story..behind the break-up..
A close up of Christine and Pani Pointu Madras. TGIF! P.S. In honor of St. Pat's tomorrow can we all wear green silks?
pierina your four different Lalbhai are beautiful. Do you have a favorite? Have you always loved this design? I just recently toyed with the idea of this in the summer silk but of course by now it is too late.
Lanit - what a gorgeous and perfect Horn pendant!
Hello Silkies, I wanted to accent my pink nails and toes and tied Early America and Aux Pays des Espices together. This is my first attempt at doubling like Euridice did days ago. I am tall so the long Espices trailing down was appealing to me. Who knows. Maybe I will look at pics next week and wonder what I was thinking. For today, pink and giddy. I can't even tell you how excited I am about this new idea since I will get to double the wear of my silks. Since my collection is still limited with designs/colors--don't have 30 blue beauties like Pierina does, I am now going to buy a few new scarves based not just on swoon-factor, but on ability to double with an already owned lovely. Thanks for letting me share!
