Thanks BlueGenes. When I want to buy a scarf now, I try to look at them folded in the drawers at the store to see which colors catch my eye. Then I look at them unfolded. I used to focus too much on design, but now I like to consider color first and how they look folded.

You can blame TankerToad, but when she said tying a scarf on one's head reminded her of grace kelly (the one from monaco), well it is now my favorite look. i know i look more like a pirate, but there you go.

I want this scarf now. And am going to practice the tie, except I've tried the head knot thing and I just look weird - I think this tie looks best on oblong faces, but mine is too round.

- i doubt what you say about your face being too round, but perhaps some square sunglasses?

TT - i only wish i were on the french riviera with my sugar daddy!! used to have one, but he wasn't so sweet (by that i mean nice, not rich) and so i moved on
my dh used to have it all (the money, the cars, the women... many women) before my time, but he does have a lot of sugar for me.

Everyone--Like I said you all warm my heart. My family seems to be doing well. I took another day off and we had quality time together...so important to have time with your loved ones..please everyone, cherish them...and while you are all following my advice, go out and get yourselves a little goodie!
I picked mine up today. A dear TPF friend got one awhile ago and I had been admiring it from afar. She kept telling me to get one but I thought I didn't need one (I know you're reading this, thanks!). Somehow I ended up with a TohuBohu Shawl after saying I would never wear a shawl. Well, that first one got me hooked and after a little help and a lot of enabling I finally got my grail shawl: Cashmere GM, Bolduc au Carre in Orange colorway. Thank you to all who set me straight...indeed I needed this. And now I am banned for a good, long, long, long (did I say long? Banned?) time.
Don't mind the crazy knot, we were running out to dinner and I had to figure it out quick. Will play with it more and come up with something worthy!
