RG, thank goodness everyone is safe and sound (those CDC powers were working OVERTIME!).

Here's me, attempting that awesome lazy doubleknot MaiTai had the other day:

I thought that knot made my neck look big...so I said "to heck with it!" (really, I said "heck"!) and just drapped it...

I didn't like that one EITHER (can you see the morning I had?!)

Finally, I tried something else - the little half bow I saw on Rose's blog AGES ago and have never, ever attempted:

Happy at last, I went out to look at 'Fridges. I didn't buy one, just out looking at appliances and treating myself to a warm and toasty hot chocolate. I looked good doing it tho!

This is a little vintage silk scarf I picked up at my local vintage shop. No idea who it's from. I just liked it! And since I was wearing yellow gloves and rocking a butter yellow Coach bag (plus my usual jeans), I thought this scarf would be pretty. For jewelry today, I put on Onyx bead earrings, a plain silver bangle, and the black and white wide bangle from Tiffany that my DH gave me for Christmas.

Hey, it's my first "Play time" pic series! And it wasn't even with "H"! Next time!

A-T-G - I have to say I had a good laugh thinking about you tying different knots in front of the mirror before leaving the house. Since I have decided no more scarfs or shawls until I wear everything I have acquired at least twice, I have been struggling to tie different knots. In my minds eye, I was channeling MaiTai when I BOUGHT the scarfs because she makes it look so effortless. However, generally speaking my knots are floppy and sloppy so far. Luckily I am not working at the moment and don't have to be anywhere in a hurry.... helps with the OCKTD (Obsessive Compulsive Knot Tying Disease).

so glad you got the knot you wanted! it looks great BTW.

Tonight, I took my little doggie, Pippa, for her walk, I swear the sea mist was so bad, I could only see about 6 feet in front of me. It was totally creepy, the fog horn was sounding (still is), and I really was really trying to source out sounds!!
I wish I had a flourescent H scarf!! oh, and sometimes I wish Pip was bigger!!

I swear it sounds rather romance the mist! :p

Thanks guys. My 2009 Res. is to be positive and to be honest, it could have been a LOT worse. The car will be fixed and the kids are running around happy today--that's what is important!

I wanted to add, to bring this back on topic, that it was a lucky thing I was wearing my TohuBohu Shawl and RG CDC since the shawl kept me and the kids warm and the CDC gave me those special powers that I needed to keep it together.

RileyGirl, you are SO positive! filled with positive energy!!

glad to hear that everyone's fine. cars can simply be fixed. do continue to monitor the little ones.

glad to hear that the CDC gave you special powers! better carry it around with you all the time!

Rose, what an awsome trio of Kelly dogs, beautiful pic too!

A-T-G ~ loved looking at your playtime pics, my favorite is the half bow, gorgeous!

doloresmia, my name is MaiTai and I have OCKTD :whiteflag:

:roflmfao:

Doloresmia - I think we can all relate to this one! I do not think there is a "cure".

We just have to keep practicing tying the knots with various scarves and watching for MaiTai's posts with new pictures!
