I prefer the gold over the MOP

Hide Hiding GIF

Haha, you know I'm usually a very "classic" sort of person and would usually go for MOP but there's something about the gold that looks visually appealing.

In terms of looks, I find the gold a little different, a little more unique and special.

However in terms of practicality, a MOP is easier to read if that's what OP intends to do.
I generally don't like watches that don't have numbers, because that doesn't really help me read time. I think once there are a lack of numbers and they're replaced by diamonds or something, it becomes more like jewelry.

So I would consider these to be more "jewelry"-like watches despite being automatics, and I would (surprising myself) go for the gold.:heart:

I promised to get you pics. Here’s my Rolex Ladyjust in gold. I think it’s 26, not sure. I don’t remember specifications, got it in 2012-2013 in Geneva.

You can definitely read the time. And obv I love yellow gold 😆
It’s something about this gold on gold that’s so decadent. Best combo period and if I wore yg this would definitely be what I would get.

Here's my gold on gold watch! My dad's always worn a gold on gold Rolex so it's extra special to me. I like that it's all a singular color, seems simpler and more cohesive as a jewelry piece.

Absolutely beautiful!!! I totally agree about the singular color! I chose the silver on silver because all of my jewelry is white gold and platinum and I used that same thought process when choosing! I was stuck between the one I chose, and the 31 with the mint green dial. I picked her up on Saturday and I am very happy with my decision!

Ladies, can I ask for your thoughts please? I’ve narrowed my search down to two models now, both 31mm and both two tone (YG & SS). This is a watch my husband is buying for me so I have to get this right!

The fluted bezel is available to me now and the scattered diamond bezel has an approximate 3-4 month wait. I have no problem waiting for the right model.

I had always envisaged a MOP dial and the scattered diamond bezel I originally loved but being offered this alternative with the silver dial I’m now wondering am I better going for a more classic look? I don’t want to risk looking over the top and my jewellery is a mix of platinum wedding rings, eternity etc and gold.

Opinions would be appreciated 😊
