Both are gorgeous. Here comes a real huge snob opinion, so I apologize in advance: While both are, indeed, gorgeous--I prefer Option 1. I think the roman numerals look more elegant, and the diamond VI looks really cool. When diamond chips are used for hour numbers, they don't seem as elegant to me. If one wanted to make a statement with diamonds, then get a big diamond bezel. See? I told you this was a huge snob opinion. Gross, actually. Of course, this is simply personal preference so no one should care what MY preference is, YOU are the one shelling out major money for the watch. Get what YOU want. And considering how expensive these watches are, you should get exactly what you want.

Thank you @rose60610 , I totally appreciate your honesty and love how you expressed it so well! I initially thought I may be the only one who feels that option 1 was more elegant

Not a great picture but here is a side by side of a 31cm evergold with slate (i think) face and roman numbers and 31cm yellow gold with gray face with diamond markers. While different colors, it is helpful to see how the faces look when worn. Good luck...as others have said, get what makes your heart sing! HAVE FUN and enjoy!!!

Thank you @hopiko , these pictures with both watches side by side are so helpful!

I love love love Roman numerals as they look so elegant! Personally not a huge fan of diamond markers and would rather have the diamonds elsewhere e.g. on the bezel, but you can't go wrong either way, and that baby pink dial is *chef's kiss*

I love the DJ with diamond markers! Personally, I feel the roman numerals is too busy looking. My hubby and I were offered Rolexes recently, but they weren't exactly what we were looking for so we passed. I wouldn't settle for something you weren't in love with.

Dear all,

A big thank you for all your advices/opinions :heart:

I finally went to the AD today to see option 1 (roman numerals with a large VI set with diamonds) in person and with all these comments in mind, I actually visited a second hand rolex store beforehand, thankfully they had a good selection for comparison. I saw darker dials and lighter dials, with and without diamond markers, they also happen to have option 1 as well (but selling at a significant premium! :amazed:).

All in all, I was able to put the watches on and compare them/see it for myself (a pity I didn't manage to take photos) and came to the conclusion that, I do love diamond markers but think they look best with darker dials. I personally felt that option 1 stood out when put beside option 2 (just diamonds, no roman numerals) because of the nice contrast between the roman numerals and the pink dial plus the presence of the large VI set with diamonds being a little something special.

Here are some photos I have just taken with my poor photography skills
