I ended up getting the watch with the stick markers! I did want a more casual/sporty everyday watch. They let me try on an exhibition model with diamonds and I preferred the stick. Thanks everyone for the guidance!!
Great choice! I love mine so much, I smile whenever my sticks light up. I hope you love yours too. Like you, I admittedly wanted a more low key everyday look. Thus totally fit the bill! It’s my favorite, I rarely wear the diamond bezel and diamond dial one.

Dear all,

I have just been offered option 1 (roman numerals with a large VI set with diamonds) by my SA after a few months on the waiting list.
I was initially put on waitlist for option 2 (just diamonds, no roman numerals) and didn't consider option 1 until now (just because it didn't occur to me) but now I feel like option 1 looks equally nice beside option 2.

I am conflicted as I thought I wanted option 2 and now looking at it again I feel like option 1 seems a tad more elegant with the roman numerals and less common than option 2? I have a preference for something less common, where possible, please correct me if I'm wrong!

Note: Both are Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 in Oystersteel, white gold with pink dial and Jubilee bracelet.

Thank you in advance for your opinions

Watches, like fine jewelry, are a very personal choice. You go with what you truly want and that gut feeling when you know it is the one. If the offer does not speak to you then I suggest that you wait for what you originally asked for.

However, having said that, have you been able to try on the offered watch?
Seeing an item and wearing it in person can definitely help you in your decision making.

Good luck!

Both are gorgeous. Here comes a real huge snob opinion, so I apologize in advance: While both are, indeed, gorgeous--I prefer Option 1. I think the roman numerals look more elegant, and the diamond VI looks really cool. When diamond chips are used for hour numbers, they don't seem as elegant to me. If one wanted to make a statement with diamonds, then get a big diamond bezel. See? I told you this was a huge snob opinion. Gross, actually. Of course, this is simply personal preference so no one should care what MY preference is, YOU are the one shelling out major money for the watch. Get what YOU want. And considering how expensive these watches are, you should get exactly what you want.

Not a great picture but here is a side by side of a 31cm evergold with slate (i think) face and roman numbers and 31cm yellow gold with gray face with diamond markers. While different colors, it is helpful to see how the faces look when worn. Good luck...as others have said, get what makes your heart sing! HAVE FUN and enjoy!!!

Thank you @lill_canele ! I’ll be seeing the watch in person tomorrow and hopefully I’ll be certain of what I prefer
