I feel the need to revive this thread!:cool: because I am just loving my CH Hyde Park Messenger bag. I have gotten a ton of compliments at work too, which is so funny to me. I am obsessed with CH bags and (Gucci too), but my CH are the go to's for now. I even got caught in *very rare* southern cali rain recently and couldn't protect my CH. It looks wonderful. No water stains at all. It really is nice to have a great looking, throw around, everyday, beautiful bag!

Here's a couple photos of my bag stuffed to the max! LOL! I have 3 different wristlets/clutches I use as organizers, and my iPad in mine. Love, love, love this bag! :love:

Your bag is lovely. I have one too in the olive/grey but I haven't used it yet because of the wet weather- snow and rain. However, thanks for telling us that your bag made it through rain without any casualities.

Ha - I was only caught one time in the rain. I'm not sure how it would hold up after a few times. But I'm happy with the one time I was. I'm starting to wish I got that Olive color too. I think it's called Loden. I see it pop up for $278 or so on NM.com from time to time. But I am not paying that much! I m spoiled. Everytime I go to the outlet, I'm not as thrilled about the bags there than I am with this Messenger. Well I got a hyde park marley tote recently, but this one is more unique and a lot more functional.

I am a huge fan of messenger bags! They are especially useful for work since I am usually carrying at least one other bag (my 'work' bag). I actually purchased a Mulberry messenger bag from the men's section. It was about 1/3 the cost of the Alexa and is a bit simpler, but I have received several compliments on it. The quality isn't quite what I had hoped so I probably wouldn't ever splurge on the Alexa.

I am loving my Cole Haan Hyde Park Messenger, too! I have it in Loden. This thread is the reason that I sought it out. I also got caught in the rain - no problems! So perfect for carrying around all my stuff and my iPad. The other unique thing that I love about this bag is that the top handle is long enough to go over the shoulder. Most messengers just have a short handle on top, or ther is no top handle at all. This bag is really well-designed!

ITA about that top handle. There is none like it. It's so practical. I wear it as a shoulder bag quite frequently as well. And it's such a nice detailed handle. I don't know why I'm so in love with this bag! LOL! I guess as I gold BagLover, it's because it's low maintenance, nice looking, and was not expensive at all.

I'm really loving my Mulberry OS Alexa right now. I hadn't carried her in months and pulled her down today to get to another bag and ended up saying "heck lets give Alexa a day out" and I'm so glad I did. I forgot how easy this bag is to wear when I'm carrying my wiggly 17month old. It can stand up to anything and the leather is only gets better with age.

I was looking through this thread and fell in love with that Cole Haan Hyde Park messenger. I googled for it and found one on Ebay and scooped it up! I can't wait to get my new bag.

You all are a bunch of enablers!!! :pout:
