Which LV purchase did you regret?

Over the years, I've attempted to love the Speedy, and purchased various versions (Cerises, Epi, etc.), but I regretted the purchase every time and eventually ended up selling. The style just doesn't work for me, it is too much of a "black hole" bag that I felt like I couldn't find anything in. I know there are some die-hard fans on this forum, but it just doesn't work of me unfortunately.

Delightful mm azur. Pretty soon it will have a new owner. It's a gorgeous bag, my first azur piece .. I'm too clumsy to have such a light colored bag, I should've stayed in my comfort zone (mono,de) lol.

Damier azur mini pochette. It was my second LV purchase and at first I really enjoyed using it. Since then I have purchased a rose pop cosmetic case and stephen sprouse roses pochette. I carry both of these items in my speedy and I don't really need the mini pochette anymore. I also really prefer damier ebene and monogram. So off to a new owner it goes.

I regretted the Delightful in Damier Ebene. I love DE, but the Delightful was just not my style. I regretted it pretty quickly after purchase, but kept it. I ended up selling it for $750, so a $500 loss wan't that bad.

Omg. You sold it for a steal!! May I ask why you regretted that purchase? What size did you get?
I had the PM size. My regret is for a totally ridiculous reason, but this is a judgment-free zone, I hope, lol ... I didn't like how it hung on my shoulder. It is hobo-style bag and I had to like fold one flap over the other or push it down. It looked messy. No clean lines. Then when I wanted in it, I couldn't just reach in. I had to "open" it up, then fold/close it back. And I am a lawyer, so I'm constantly pulling out my phone. I'd also just switched from a Totally, which had tons of easy access pockets - so that probably impacted my impatience with the Delightful. The strap was a great size, as was the inside of the bag. But having to fold it closed annoyed me a lot. I also didn't like that when I sat it down somewhere it was wide, wide, wide open like a '0' shape. I work with very honest, trustworthy people (I know, I know, lawyers are neither of those qualities, lol!) so I didn't care that it would sit open and someone could reach into it or something. I just didn't like how it was so wide open and you could see everything in it. I also found it annoying trying to slide my purse organizer in/out.

The person who bought it got a steal indeed! I paid $1250 or whatever it was (I think it was around that) and used it for probably 2 weeks total in its lifetime. The bag was in absolutely perfect condition! That was a good lesson for me to learn to consider a bag first and then purchase it, rather than end up not loving it and having it sit around unused.

I hear you on that! It didn't hang well on me either, maybe it's just too new that the canvas hasn't relaxed yet... and yes that mouth opening.. lol pretty much like the nf, but it's more so of the light colored canvas and vachetta. LV has some gorgeous bags, but I guess it's trial and error. Some work for others and some don't. 😊 Are you getting a replacement bag? I'm already thinking of what I'm going to replace my delightful for. Lol

Yeah, I think the canvas being stiff and not having time to relax was a big part of it. But the mouth opening (perfect way to describe it ... I couldn't get the right words out!) was just too much for my liking. I like that the NF at least folders over/one side lays against the other when resting. It has the same hook/clasp, but it seems to lay better. If I'd kept it, I probably would have liked it more as the canvas relaxed. But oh well!

I bought a few things to replace it ... the Caissa hobo. That one just lays better and is so darn pretty! I also bought a Favorite in DA. And now I'm falling in love with the LockIt PM. I really want that bag, but since it's $3K+ I've told myself NO until at least the new year.

What are you thinking of getting to replace the Delightful? I'd considered the Portobello, but then heard on here, I think, of many problems with it. So now I am thinking the Calvi or one of the bags that has the "V" shape on the front center.

Omg the caissa is tdf!!! Which color did you choose ? Wow we have similar taste, I was considering the Calvi before I bought the delightful. Both such beautiful bags, the LockIt is gorgeous, I think it's definitely worth the price point . I would love to get the W bag... Ofcourse the price is what's holding me back lol. Maybe the Montaigne bb empreinte in black. I'm going to stick to neutrals from now on lol 😆

Delightful MM in mono. I live in Sweden which means alot of rainy/snowy days, not ideal for all the vachetta. Also my black winter coat kept rubbing off colour on the strap.. And it kept slipping off my shoulder ALL the time. So annoying. Its a cute bag tho.
The hobo style was too slouchy and it felt like a big black hole. I recently sold it and got a totally MM in DE instead. Will last all weathers and no vachetta to care for. And more structure!
Hope it will last for my 3 years of uni that starts this fall :p
