Before buying a bag/base insert, try making your own out of cardboard or something else as a base to see if you like the look. I just took a magazine (a sturdier one like the ones you get from Neiman's or Nordstorm) put it in a shoe bag (like the ones you get when you buy TOMS) and put it in the bottom as a base shaper for my 30 & 35 bags. If you still dont like the shape then the Speedy might not be for you.
That's what I do! I hate the look of saggy bags so for my 35's I take a legal size manila file folder, open it and cut it in half and round the edges out with scissors. It fits perfectly as a base and gets rid of the sag. It doesn't add any weight and I find it actually distributes weight evenly inside your bag. It also doesn't put any pressure on the inside corners of the bag- which many base shapers do- causing damage over time.

Updated regrettable purchases:

Mono Bucket GM- I got caught up in the hype of it "being discontinued". I used it two or three times and didn't feel any "wow" factor. It went off to a good home.
Epi Noes - both GM- I guess I'm not a "colored bag" person and I realized I prefer canvas to epi leather. Both sold.

Pre-loved Delightful - I couldn't live with the dirty vachetta and tears in the canvas that no one would fix. Even after a week of my special re-hab and "spa days" she still looked terrible. I carried it to the movies one day with my sons and my older son - who is 16 -said "Eww Mom, what is that?" He knows all about my LV addiction and has seen the good and bad, LOL. Happily someone else is loving her.

Interesting thread.... A few yrs ago my H bought me a vernis tote (all vernis, no leather), don't know the name, in the MM size. It's the only vernis piece I have, always admired the line, but never found a piece that was right until that tote came along.... I realized Vernis is not for me. I'm just too OCD and the finish is too high maintenance for me. I luv the purse, but rarely use it because I spend too much time babying it and wiping prints and smudges

I wonder if it is the Wilshire BLVD?

Zcp. Money would get stuck with the zipper. I also regret the neverfull in damier. I knew about the cracking issues and still bought it. Had it repaired 2xs in the first year and eventually got something else.

NM Speedy 30 in DA- I would have liked the sag of the old model. I prefer being able to carry a bag on my shoulder...maybe I should have bought the bandoliere style. Also the Odeon. It looks big but it's not really and things fit in it awkwardly.
