Which handbag have you gotten the most compliments on?

May I ask where you live?!

I'm in Australia, south east, in a tiny mountain community. I can't see my neighbours from where I live. I have to travel to get to the nearest town which has a population of 10,000. There are a couple of larger towns (population 100,000) over an hour away.

I have a Chanel runway bag that I regretted buying just because it was on sale. I didn't carry it for 2 years just because it's so odd looking. Then, I decided to pull it out one day. I think 15 people stopped me to compliment that bag. I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I wore it again about a year later. Again, everyone stopped me to ask where I got it. It's this bag. It really is cooler in person.

Whenever I carry my Stella McCartney Falabella bags I always get a compliment. People just seem to really like the look of the bags

I think I get more compliments when I carry a brighter colored bag - two come to mind - my dark plum MJ Blake and my coral RM Cupid. Also green PS Keepall.
If I go to a store that carries designer bags, the SAs will often notice a bag I'm carrying too.

I only have two bags that I frequently get compliments on. One is a Ferragamo that is a beautiful dark blue with a metallic/pearly sheen and people tend to compliment the color. The other is an Hermes Birkin that was a special order and I was able to choose the colors of the bag. It's a fairly boring shade of taupe on the outside, but the inside is hot pink and that seems to catch people's eye.

I think that bright colored bags, regardless of the designer, draw the most attention and therefore the most compliments.
