Which handbag have you gotten the most compliments on?

You'll get compliments here, though. Saw your collection from link the other day and was in awe. I can tell you buy what you love, something I wish I'd known at your age and they're all pieces that build well on each other and are refined without being dull, something I've yet to figure out.

On that note, my bags tend to fall in the safe category, so typically only SAs will comment on them. Both Reed Krakoff Boxers were fawned over at Nordstrom and my Tod's Jewelry D-cube has been complimented a half dozen times or so, but I tend to fly under the radar.

Ditto; I've had unpleasant instances where people judge me for my belongings, once they find out what they were, so I tend to buy what's not recognizable. Really dislike it, when those around me scrutinize everything I own, and tell others about the brand/how expensive they are. Some individuals just seriously have too much time!

I receive the most compliments on my MZ Wallace Berry Jane bag. The color is compelling. People always ask me about it.

I just bought two Frye bags in Whiskey, and they have also been receiving a LOT of compliments. That beautiful golden brown attracts attention.

Have y'all ever received compliments over your pocketbooks from people you don't know?

I had my new bronze Selene with me at a craft store, and a lady who was there just gushed over it. I thought maybe the store would have to call an ambulance to come get her. However, since I am a wild woman too, I gushed right along with her.

Compliments from strangers are always such wonderful surprises!
:flowers:

ive had people at cvs compliment my bags while im waiting for my presciptions. which was a lil awkward for me in one situation because i was just in line and you know when you can feel someone just piercing their eyes at you but you cant who it is? this older woman got into my personal space and i had asked if she needed something but she also wanted to go gush over the bag as well.

i also had the security guy at home depot randomly say i had nice bag lol.

OMG thank you SO much!!!! I love your boxer bags and I've been considering purchasing that bag for a while now!! You made my day!!!:heart:

I've gotten at least one compliment each time I've worn this Dolce & Gabbana briefcase...that is until I let them pick it up...it's ridiculously heavy even when empty.

I get compliments from SA's in both Nordstrom and Neimans every time I go shopping. It's funny how when I wear different bags there are different age ranges that actually comment. I'm not sure if they are being genuine or if they are just trained to compliment customers?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's a bit of both, where they're trained to vocalize it if a customer has an item they like.

I was in the bank today with my Gucci Flora tote and the teller fell in love with it. She wanted the details of where I got it and was going to order herself one as soon as she got home from work.

I live in a tiny country town and bags just aren't a "thing" here, there's zero status attached to carrying a designer bag, it's purely an aesthetic thing. I felt so happy to share with someone my love for something that I think is beautiful.

May I ask where you live?!

This reminded me of something I noticed last week when I was in Canaan Valley, WV, staying in a beautiful A-frame rental home. I just left my purse at the house any time we went to the store, because all they had was Dollar General and Shop'n'Save (and the most popular handbag I noticed was camo.) I really loved being secluded from everything, but I could really only deal with that for a few days. I was happy to get back to civilization!
