Although the link u are providing is specific to Hermes, which I can understand why they'd get gawked at! I totally gawk at H bags but I think at that price level I won't feel comfortable complimenting strangers on that...mostly because I've only seen it on older ladies with their husband on the street and the context would be too weird.....I think....

Someone else already said it, possibly true then...:smile1: I would not compliment anyone I don't know about their bag, not in the street.... Though this is London and it's just how it is. Not sure about other places.

I have gotten compliments on many of my bags, mostly from people I know, but a few times from strangers. Now here is the dysfunctional part, if I don't get a compliment on a bag, I start to wonder if it's nice and makes me doubt my choice. I know that is weird. I got a new bag a couple days ago, I posted it to a thread and didn't get one compliment when almost everyone else was getting a compliment on their bag, lol, again I know if I like it, it shouldn't matter who else likes it, but for some reason it does to me! My husband likes it and my dad was asking me who made it, which is weird because he never asks about my purses, so he must have thought it was nice. Dysfunctional, aren't I?

Had the sweetest compliment from a employee at Shake Shack yesterday- DH and I sat outside to eat with our puppy even though it was quite cold. The employee (male) came out and said "Girl I love your Birkin bag! My mom just got hers after 2 years." DH was surprised the guy knew about Birkins :D

What bag was it? Sorry i cant do the search as im using the app. Sometimes a forum just depends on the traffic. Tbh, i was a bit disappointed too when the restaurant server complimented my friends rm mab but not my paraty. Made me wonder if i simply spent too much!

Ooh, I have yet to have a male stranger comment on my bags! But maybe it just takes a birkin!!

I have a Rebecca Minkoff in a metallic hot pink which always gets compliments. I'm surprised since I live in the DC metroplex. I guess that this bag stands out in a sea of black and various shades of brown.

I get the most compliments on my valentino bags, especially the really ornate ones. I also get a lot of compliments on my purple woven Dior.
The two bags that gets the absolute most comments would be:

It's a Michael Kors Selma in Coffee color. Someone did end up on the forum saying it was pretty, made me feel better. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way when not getting a compliment!

I get compliments on all of my bags from different kinds of people. :) I don't stick to only one kind of design or material. So, I don't take it personal if one person doesn't like it cuz I know another one appreciates it. An example of which is my Gucci crystal tote. My Aunt didn't like it and thought it was a fake, mainly because of the coating, I guess. I have noticed she doesn't like patent handbags. However, my SIL said the most wonderful compliment I have ever heard in my life. She said, "I don't know how you could ruin that bag at all!" And it's precisely why I bought it! She totally read my mind. I carry it in the rain, snow and sunshine! :)

That's gorgeous! The gentle colors help it from being too garish. That is NOT remotely my personally style of purses, so, it's pretty awesome if I'm fawning over such a girly bag :graucho:

Hello all beautiful ladies, please share the bags you get the most compliments on here, please also share your pictures~!

For me, I always get compliments on my Louis Vuittton Brea EPI, most of the people don't even know it's a LV bag as it does not have the logo all over it, but because it's such a chic bag!
