Which handbag have you gotten the most compliments on?

The ones people do not know about. I get a lot of compliments on my fossil blue leather kisslock / purse / wallet. I was at Coach and got a compliment on my Rioni bag..

I'm glad you brought up Fossil bags as there's one that I've been waiting for to get marked down. I just checked my bookmarks, but it still hasn't been marked down.

I think it's a happy, fun bag and works great for a small, travel bag. Plus, it reminds me of Southeast Asia.

Now that I think about it, I rarely get complimented on any bag I carry! :confused1: The few times that come to mind are a couple of Brighton bags and an LV Damier Speedy. I don't think anyone who has ever complimented the LV knew what designer it was, they just liked the pattern.

I rarely get bag compliments! Where I live, most ladies don't carry designer/high end bags. That situation has become more entrenched with the recession. To be honest, I'm most likely to get compliments after I've made somebody suggestible by saying something like, 'How do you like my new bag?' So the last 'compliment' was the other day when I carried an inspired-by Alexander Wang Rocco (it was raining) to lunch. Myfriend said, 'Oh that's gorgeous!' after I asked for her opinion and stuck the bag in front of her! Apart from that, my most-complimented bag is probably my Bal Twiggy. I think people notice the tassels.

I rarely get compliments as well but I do get eye attention whenever I carry my designer bags and not just the known ones like LV and Chanel...even my YSL Roady which is pretty much under the radar gets a few stares occasionally :smile1:

Whenever I wear any of my Anuschka bags I snag a compliment. It's truly amazing. No one here notices my Venetas or Koobas, but they'll stop my in the grocery store line to ask me where I got my knock around B. Makowsky. It's interesting.

^I have been thinking of getting an Anuschka. I sense the leather is very strong and pliable, even with the painting on it.

The only times I've been stopped is with my Marc Jacobs Stam. Women have asked to touch it, or where I purchased it, or just commented on how much they like it. I don't think I'm as aware of carrying it as much as the other designers, so it almost comes to me as a surprise. It's funny -- I have brain freeze before I realize they're referring to my stam. Then I feel like I should chase after them and talk about bags LOL

My overall observation: Unique bags get the most compliments. Designer bags get the most stares along with silence (makes you wonder what they're thinking like (1) how much did it cost, (2) how did she afford that, (3) wait is it real or fake?).

I get complimented on this older Chanel, (around 1995). I've been asked "May I touch it?" Does make me feel kinda silly.

Way cute!!! Yeah I love Fossil leather. They are so soft. Lots of good deals to be found in the outlets too...

I'm glad you brought up Anuschka, as I bought one last summer. I haven't used it yet, though. It's a bit smaller than the bags I usually carry, so it will take a little doing to try to get everything in it. I might have to leave a few things out. It's a gorgeous bag though. It has a safari type of theme to it.

The Anuschka bag will probably get the same type of attention that my Icon Shoes handbags get. www.iconshoes.com. Folks seem to love them. Today I'm carrying one of their satchel bags that I absolutely love. It's the top-zip style.

Mine is different from the above one in that it's brown and has a beautiful Italian scene on it.
