Where is your Burberry made in?

When I hear "made in Italy" I think of a craftsmen at his work bench toiling over my bag with the finest quality. When I hear "made in China" I think of my purse falling from a chute onto a conveyor belt and someone on an assembly line screwing the handles on.

However that is all perception based on imagined ideas. For all I know the only difference between the factories in China and Italy are the nationality of the people working there. :confused1:

My Hat and Earmuffs are Made in England. While my prescription eyeglasses are made in Italy. <3

I love Burberry so much, but the move to China was heartbreaking to me. I tend to steer clear of those products completely. I was totally considering on buying some gloves (even though I can't justify the $300 price tag on them) for Winter and decided to check Nordstrom.com to check them out.

I lusted over the Buckle Gloves. So beautiful. But I saw these pair of Cashmere gloves on Nordstrom.com, I was shocked at how poor they look (they were much cheaper too) compared to the Italy-made gloves. Ugh. It's so sad.

Check Print Buckle Gloves (Italy)
Check Cashmere Gloves (China)

The quality and difference is so obvious. I wish Burberry stayed in Europe.

I just bought the Burberry Shimmer Bowling bag....thats Made in China.
It made my joy of a new bag turn into a little frown upon finding the Made in China tag.
Oh well.

Are a lot of their bags made in China now?

I was showing Burberry to my mom, and she saw the made in China tag and told me I should get something made in Italy since that's what I'm paying for.
And sometimes, on my friend's bags you can see the difference in quality. I dunno if it's just her bags or Burberry as a whole though.

Saw the bag on burberry website and it says "Made in Italy", I went to Nordstorm to pick her up. When I got home... I saw "Made in China" tag :sad:I wanted to cry!! :crybaby:I almost return her, but I like her shape/style so much so I decided to keep her.

I think that most of Burberry goods are now being produced in China **Sigh** for labor cost saving.

I just bought Burberry earmuff in their classic color. The tag says "Made in China" and it shows. I have an older, purple, Burberry earmuff that was Made in England. There's a world of difference. I paid $150 and it was NOT worth it. Their website says their earmuffs are Made in England, but I just bought mine from a Burberry store. Perhaps SOME are Made in England, so they keep that label and mislead people who receive the Made in China muffs.

None of us should buy designer goods at designer prices that are Made in China. It's just not worth it. Aside from the quality, there are many human rights violations (child labor) in China, which is why I steer clear of products from that country. (I didn't see the earmuffs tag til I got home, never thinking I'd have to check a Burberry product!) VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

My trench is from Italy. However...

I dont know what I was thinking...yesterday I bought a simple ivory wool and cashmere blend Burberry stocking cap and when I got home I saw that it said Made in China. The original price was $150! I cant believe it...for a hat? I paid $45 for it and still felt kind of ripped off - especially because its made in China. Its going back.

My DH said it doesnt look any different than something from Sears or Target. Its a pretty cute fit, but not all that. Would you guys pay $45 for a little ol stocking cap??
