When I hear "made in Italy" I think of a craftsmen at his work bench toiling over my bag with the finest quality. When I hear "made in China" I think of my purse falling from a chute onto a conveyor belt and someone on an assembly line screwing the handles on.
However that is all perception based on imagined ideas. For all I know the only difference between the factories in China and Italy are the nationality of the people working there.
