I've actually been really surprised at the designer bags they've had -- I almost fainted when I saw that Lanvin! I was soooooo tempted (I just didn't think it was reduced as much as some other bags with the same retail price -- maybe that's because it's so rare to find Lanvin at TJ's!)

btw -- Lea Michelle was seen carrying what I think is that Stella McCartney bag I found -- I tell ya, it was gorgeous! You'd never know that it's not really leather. It's amazing!!

I know this bag. It's a pretty popular one. It's not leather?? Now you mentioned it. LOL...I always thought it is leather!

You know...we have a Loehman's that is kinda like Marshall and TJMaxx and they had this glass cabinet with few Hermes but unfortunately the price is not the reduced price. It was way more overpriced than retail.

Does that TJMaxx also have CL shoes?

ive never seen CLs at a TJMaxx. Designer handbags yes. shoes? no.

I've also never seen CLs at TJMaxx -- granted, I don't look at the shoes like I look at the bags, but I don't think they would make it there (I've found them at Nordstroms Rack).

Re: the Stella McCartney bag -- I don't believe she uses real leather for any of her bags. It's some kind of synthetic or organic leather. It's not pleather or anything like that -- you would honestly think this bag is leather. It has the same look, feel and smell of leather!

The Loehmans here in Chicago closed down last spring, but I remember finding a few Marc Jacobs and Jimmy Choo bags there, but there prices were always very high, especially considering the bags were like 2 years old

Yes, I miss that store, I got 3 pairs of Rock and Republic jeans there. I actually did see some Prada bags and shoes there too. Not often though.

Michael Kors brown suede wedge boots with gold buckles on sale $ 80.00 , their regular price-199.99 and on their site 350.00 original price!!! They are so nice....... My cousin got the black suede.

Yup, that one's pretty good! I still prefer the magical Ann Arbor location though. (Here's why: People in BH are a lot more willing to pay the regular "TJ's retail" price for the items, so nothing ever makes it to clearance, where I browse almost exclusively. Most Ann Arborites aren't going to pay the sticker price right away--well unless you're in Barton Hills I guess!--so some really amazing stuff ends up being clearanced out)

I was just at the AA location last night and these caught my eye (but I didn't purchase):

-Dolce & Gabbana strappy sandals (black, with a wraparound thing for the ankle) for $289 clearanced out
-Prada black patent pumps for $400
-Light grey Coach leather booties with a suede turndown cuff for $80 (I seriously almost bought these, but then realized how dirty the light grey would get in, oh, 2 wears)
-Theory cropped blazer for $44 (sadly nowhere close to my size)

I also saw a black Dolce & Gabbana dress there for $350 (a couple years ago)...one of those very tight ones with lacing all up the back and an underwire bra-type bodice. It was super hot, but I had absolutely no occasion (or the budget) to get it :(

Another decent runway TJs is at 14 mile and Orchard Lake in Farmington Hills--but it does get picked over really quickly (neighboring West Bloomfield has a lot of residents who have no problem paying full retail!) so it's hit or miss.

I've bought shoes by Jimmy Choo ($119) and Dolce & Gabbana ($49 & $79) at my TJ Maxx. I've also bought a St. John shirt ($10), an Armani Jacket ($99), and a Theory jacket ($50). I've also seen brands like Versace, Vera Wang, Chloe, and La Perla.

which location did you visit and was it a Runway? I have about 3 runways near me but everyone buys everything up! Nothing really makes it to clearance and the price still seems a bit high. The regular TJ near my house had some Tylie Malibu bags on clearance for $150 and some treesjie bags on clearance for $170. But i am not interested in those, I'm interested in what your store has ;)

The one near the Mall of Georgia (suburban ATL). I don't think it is a Runway store. Hope this helps!!

My best deal was a DKNY ceramic watch for $149 in Phoenix when on holidays. I previously bought the identical watch here in Canada for $279 (thinking that was a great price)... Needless to say,I bought the watch on holidays and promptly returned the watch I bought at home (I still had time to return).. The savings between the watches almost paid for the watch itself. Crazy!
