My first premiere designer bag was a Louis Vuitton Trouville.

Coach wristlet! Black with violet lining and also the coach mini skinny same colors I think my junior year of high school. Actual bag was a brown dooney & burke lexington for college even though I begged for a juicy couture all through middle school, so glad I didn't get one (I don't hate juicy just their velour baby/dog bags that were the rage at my school)

My first ever designer bag was a Chanel Vintage XL Jumbo.

I got it when I was 26 and unfortunately just sold her a few weeks ago. I had her for 6 years but she was never really used due to her size and I'm culling like a crazy woman. Sorry to digress...

My handbag love affair started with my mum. She used to always take me vintage store shopping and she would find all these leather bags and I still remember the intoxicating smell of leather.

She wasn't really a designer bag kinda gal due to the prices it's just the past few years she started investing in designer bags.

I love reading people's stories.

Mine was a Prada when I was a student. In my early 20s.. Then I had my grunge moment and was all for ethnic/vintage bags and backpacks that I wore to death. Ten years later, I joined tpf and I got my first designer bag(Chloe Edith that I will never let go of ) and the rest is history

My first designer bag was a huge Coach British Tan duffle. I still have her tucked away in closet in my "purse vault ." I don't carry the duffle bag now but the memories of my Mom buying her for me at the long gone Jordan Marsh store at the iconic Shoppers World Mall in Natick, MA brings back some very happy moments. My Mom loved her purses and was my first enabler. I'm thinking about sending the duffle back to Coach for a spa treatment to restore her to her original beauty. She is from the era when Coach bags were made in NYC. My purse obsession has evolved over the years. I'm sure my Mom is watching over me and loving my Bottega Veneta collection. 'Miss you Mom!
