Haha, I was unclear. I have a full vachetta Speedy 20. It is lined in mono, but the outside is 100% leather. The 30 is DE. The leather is suitable for everyday, unless you want to keep it pristine. Mine is not pristine and I'm fine with that. My lambskin is pristine.

But nothing beats canvas for everyday. Lightweight, weather proof, easy to schlep about.

I was thinking that as well. But then just thinking - if I pop into London - do I want to put a water bottle in my bag, or take my hat off etc… Just doubting myself. TBH i was then thinking maybe I should get a DE Speedy as the alternative (that is super greedy of me). I also saw a Epi Speedy 25 (no strap) avail second hand and wondered if I could add a strap. Then thought that if I am thinking of all these things already maybe I should just get the S25B. Saying that - I have a small Bayswater with strap and that’s mainly half empty unless I’m going into town or around. Just feeling maybe the S25 is the better overall purchase - though I do love the 20. Ahh!!

So the epi speedy b25 in noir was my dream bag for a while but then I heard and read that it’s quite stiff (hence not squishy which is the reason I like my speedies) so it doesn’t work well as crossbody. I also had a speedy in DE from a while back (which I loved by the way until I had kids) and debated adding straps but I read that that could damage the bag so I ended up selling it and buying the b version instead which I don’t regret! This is just based on my research so I could be wrong .

Do you find you have to baby the Noir SpeedyB25 you have or use it as freely as you do the DE?

I don’t baby her at all I’ve been using her non stop for over a month now actually and she still looks prestine. And my SA told me that LV offer fixing corner wears of certain leathers including Empreinte! Not sure if this is a new service. This was a game changer for me.

I think I love my Speedy b25s crossbody so much because I’m a huge fan of the squishy look!

I totally understand about the art work!lol. For this reason.. I also have a neverfull mm lol I went through a crazy letting go & purchasing of bags phase after having my kids and I use the neverfull mm or just a non brand cute tote for their artwork, folders etc. when I have my totes with me, I do like to carry the Alma bb crossbody (the only time I do when I’m with my kids) to carry essentials like my wallet phone sunglasses etc (and not the speedy b25 as it is a much bigger bag than the Alma and I prefer carrying these by itself). I try my best to be strategic when it comes to what bags I need, will actually use, and in what situations. lol I know some people dislike carrying 2 bags but if you don’t mind it this might work for you with your speedy 20?

I often carry two bags. One small crossbody super expensive bag, and one non-brand tote to cary everything else.

I don't think it's a strange look. Even celebrities do it out of necessity.

This is my typical business trip style I usually carry one of my Pochette Felicies crossbody and a business laptop backpack or bag in addition to it with all of my other stuff. It gives me a lot of flexibility.

I don’t think it’s silly at all! Only you can decide what makes sense to you and it sounds like you would be using both so that makes sense to me . I have 2 speedy b 25s which may not make sense to some people but these are my most used bag and I got both to rotate them every week.

One thing to keep in mind is that the DE has a smaller opening than the leather version which I know bothers some people but it personally does not bother me !
