What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

Marc Jacobs Stam - IT was too heavy for me and too much hardware for my style. Plus, the hardware would discolor the leather in the corners of the kiss lock closure.

Louis Vuitton Vernis Wilshire PM - It was too small and formal for me plus I felt like I had to baby the bag anytime I used it.

Rebecca Minkoff Amorous Tote - The leather would not hold it's shape and it got color transfer so easily.

Tory Burch Robinson Double Zip Tote - It is too heavy for me and it hasn't held it's shape well over the years.

MBMJ perforated tote. what was I thinking buying this bag? I always get scared someone might shove their hand into my bag and try to steal something! I ended up exchanging it for a balenciaga. Much better!

I might get killed for saying this, but I consider the Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 to be my worst handbag purchase of all time. I remember buying it at the boutique, and it was flattened like a pancake. In that moment, I knew I was wasting a lot of money, but I just couldn't admit it to myself - I'd driven 2 hours to buy it, & I was going to buy it.

Anyway, people were constantly asking me if it was real, which was annoying, and made me feel like it looked fake. Also, I HATED the way it sagged in the middle, like a deflated balloon. I used to put random things in there just to give it shape, lol. Thankfully I was able to sell it on Ebay, and LV's prices had gone up so much that I was able to get almost all my money back. So there it is: Speedy 25, never again.

Fendi Zucca Mama baguette. I was trying to learn to carry smaller bags & my SIL talked me into it when we were in NYC on a shopping trip. I carried it twice. It was too small & would lose it's shape when I put my stuff in it. It just wasn't for me so I put it in it's dust bag & relegated it to the shelf. 5 yrs later, my SIL asked why I didn't carry it so I gave it to her.

I hear ya. I can't bring myself to buy the speedy. Each time I go into LV to purchase it I always seem to find something better. When I tried on the speedy b and they took out of the drawer flattened, it completely lost its appeal to me. But when I keep hearing how great of a bag it is and how it's such a classic bag, I get tempted. Maybe one day I will finally get one to see what all the fuss is about. Or maybe not. Let's see.

I agree with both of you. I love the shape of the Speedy, but the sag kills me. I love the shape, and at that price, I shouldn't have to buy a base to help it keep the shape.

LV MM Neverfull in DE. When they changed the model I ran out to get the mono but they were sold out across the country so I settled on the DE because I wanted the flower pattern on the inside. The handles are too stiff and its uncomfortable to hold. I feel like I'm carrying dead weight around so it mainly stays in the trunk while I use the DE pochette to carry necessities. Also wish I had bought that in Mono. No DE ever again.

Agree. I love the damier print more than the mono but the neverfull, I sold mine because it was too stiff and hurts when I carry it. Plus the trims on mine were starting to scuff and peel so I got rid of it. No regrets selling it.

Don't do it! If you're looking for something similar, get the Alexander Wang Rocco or Rockie. I have two Rockies, and I love them.

I have two:

Mulberry Emmy Bag. I obsessed over this bag and when I got it my husband said, "Where's your Doggy." The thing was so big it looked like a dog carrier. It also had a zipper and over the zipper was a buckle and...on each side of the buckle were to turnlocks!!! :cursing: It was such a pain to get into, but the worst thing about it is it didn't smell like wonderful new leather smell, it smelled like a wet lamb. It went back in two days.

The second is my MJ Stam. Loved the style and color, but there was only one pocket and I felt like I was constantly searching for things and it was soooo heavy.

Here's the Mulberry:
LOL. I had the Mulberry Darwin Emmy too, and felt like I was carrying a shipping box under my arm. I bought it second-hand on therealreal.com, literally wore it once, and was able to sell it on Ebay, thank goodness. I also agree it had a weird smell, and the leather looked like it was 100 years old.
