What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

Usually love LV, but do have a couple gripes...

13) LV Vernis Houston. Beautiful bag, but is very stiff and somewhat hard to get into (you get scratched on the zipper). Also I've seen numerous ones on eBay get really yellowed or color transfer marks. So far I've been very lucky in that department!

14) LV Insolence Bag Charm. Gold center of one charm broke right out of the packaging. One hour later, while going into work, the center fell out of another! :(

15) LV Flower Power Bracelet. My ex boyfriend bought it for me at Saks in NYC while I was busy looking at other things. It was an awesome surprise, but when I came home and inspected it, two stones were missing from the bottom toggle. I ended up keeping it, since I do not live close to an LV store. From then til now, it ended up losing almost ALL of the stones on the toggle. :( The top is still nice, and I DO wear it almost every day, so it prolly gets banged a lot.

16) LV Damier Ebene Neverfull. This is my FAVORITE most functional bag I own, but I hardly ever use it, because the leather seems to be in the beginning stages of possibly peeling/cracking. It was only used a handful of times, so this shouldn't be. Also, I own many LV items, but this is my first in DE, and to be honest, it feels kind of cheesy. The leather doesn't feel like leather, but rather, plastic. Kind of upsetting, since it's my favorite bag...

I also see a lot of ppl complain about the Speedy, that it's hard to find things in it, and I agree, however, I LOVE the fact that it looks compact, but fits everything!!! Seriously, when I go away, I throw a hoodie and extra shoes in there along with everything else. I love that I can do that. I never had the slouching problem, and I REALLY load mine up, but my wrists do tend to get sore when I'm hauling around a lot.

Wheww!!! I think I'm done my rant now! :P

Mulberry (mini) Alexa. Leather is papery, have never had colour transfer on a bag so bad... it was a very expensive cheap and nasty mistake in terms of quality for the dollar(s). I do like the design and colour of the bag, so have kept it, but first and last time I make that mistake buying Mulberry.

A bag by Dolce & Gabbana - brown leather, silver name place and absolutely HUGE. So user-unfriendly. I think I carried it for a week. One of my (luckily) few true errors of judgment, bag-wise.

Interesting looking back on this thread - this remains the one bag I regret buying - good to know I'm generally pretty considered in my purchases :p

1) Treesje Harlow Satchel DO NOT BUY THIS BAG!!!! This is by far the worst bag anyone can buy, and it's a shame, because the leather is so luxurious and yummy, and the pleating detail is to die for! First off, look at where the handles are placed on the picture. They're sewn, like, in the middle of the bag on both sides, so the bag like, wobbles, and doesn't carry straight up and down like it should...it lays on it's side and looks completely stupid. Also, the fact that this is a fold over bag, only makes it more of a pain! The magnetic piece to keep it folded is wayyy too strong. The zipper goes all around the opening, and is very hard to unzip around the corners. When you DO manage to get it open, you have to unfold it, and it's like a super-deep black hole!!! The opening is also too small, and it's impossible to find anything in it! Oh, and all that gorgeous chain detail??? Weighs a TON!!! It's a shame, cuz this bag is so pretty. This bag originally retailed for $695. I got it on sale for around $425. Needless to say, I never used it. Sold it on eBay, and after two returns from ppl who hated it, finally someone bought it and kept it for $99. Good riddance!!!View attachment 2496670

This is a good review. What an awful bag!

There is a known quality prob with some NF handles peeling. If it happens take it into LV. They should replace the bag for you.

Oh I didn't know this! Is there a timeframe to bring it back? I thought it was just me that this happened to.. I bought my NF over a year ago but it happened within a month's use.. I just thought it was my own fault for using it as my everyday bag.. :(

Oops just re-read this, I don't expect to have my bag replaced but if they could just replace the straps, I don't mind paying for it. Sorry this might be the wrong thread for this type of question..

Mulberry Alexa. Really wanted to love this bag but there is no outer pocket for my cell phone & the bag is such a hassle to get into quickly.
Broke my heart that I could not learn to love that bag.

Balenciaga City RH - thought it was the perfect work bag until I found it wasn't tall enough to hold document binders unless it was slanted at an angle splitting the entire interior into a diagonal wedge and not able to close the zipper. Also the shoulder strap and pad were too wide and kept sliding off my sloping shoulders. Sold quickly though.

I am seriously getting annoyed with the unremovable shorter handle on the Coach Madison Isabelle, it just gets in the way when I reach in and the bag is too deep for the narrow opening - things just sink to the bottom and a pain to take out. I love the soft thick leather but this bag just isn't user friendly IMO.

I hate narrow vertical/tall bags.

Liz Claiborne that was very cute in the store and fell apart (zipper broke and the same time one of the seams came undone) after using it for less than two weeks. I used to love Kate Spade and won't buy any more since I heard it was bought by LC.

Today I'm mildly disappointed in the RM Skinny M.A.C. I just received. There's nothing wrong with it, I just didn't read carefully enough to realize it was a wristlet/wallet and not a purse. If I had realized that, I probably wouldn't have paid so much for it. But once I accept it as a wallet, I'm sure it will be fine and I'll love it.

Givenchy Pandora in small.
Tried on the medium in the store and the detachable strap was a great length. I thought the small would be a better size for my frame (I'm petite - 4'11"). Bought the small online and the strap was even longer than the strap on the medium. For what reason? I don't know. Debated whether I should get it profesionally shortened but was scared to.

Céline Mini Luggage in pebbled camel leather. I love the looks and the gorgeous luxorious leather on that bag, but it looked huge on me and I hated that it sagged like a bag with no form and puddled when placed down. I sold it and got a Micro Luggage in smooth leather, which fit me perfectly and does not slouch, though!
