What's the craziest thing you've done to be able to afford the bag you wanted?

Nothing too crazy here. I sold 75% of my bag collection to afford my HG - no regrets. This included some scouring of the local ads to buy really well-priced pre-loved bags only to sell them for a marginally higher price. It would often include driving to different areas of the city for the quick sale.

I did that last month for the first time with a bad I hadn't carried in 2 years. Still regretting it. Lesson learned.

Ooh, don't say that; I'm about to seriously downsize my collection (says she, having vowed to do this for several years now ...)

I once drove down the M42/M40 to Bicester Village and back, one blazing hot afternoon, because they had an Mulberry oak Teddy Rivet Alexa in stock, which was super rare and I thought I'd never see. It was the last day of the BV "extra 20% off" promotion, and I'd only phoned Mulberry on the off chance that they'd have something I wanted for my birthday. The drive alone was in excess of three hours and I literally galloped into the store, bought the bag (which she'd put aside for me) and sprinted back home to pick up my daughters from school. To top it all, I'd left my bottle of water in the boot and didn't have time to stop to get it out ... Hey ho ... (And no, Teddy won't be in the cull!)
