Whats the best bag for work?

Neverfull GM (Mono, mostly because the straps are more comfortable than a DE, but if you don't like Mono then maybe DA splits the difference for you?) for work (with a 15" MacBook Pro!) or as a travel bag. Alternating it with the Totally MM (DE) and a YSL Sac de Jour. If you don't mind a more "masculine"-colored bag, I also sometimes put my computer and papers in my Renzo Messenger Bag (Damier Graphite) and then carry a smaller purse. I think it's understated, chic and durable.

Hello all! Looking for some insight as to what LV bags you use for work. I know the Neverfull will likely be the biggest response (and not to knock the Neverfull, I don't think any designer has mastered the art of the perfect work tote as well as Louis Vuitton, except maybe Goyard, but I'm not a fan of their bags). I was going to purchase a Damier Ebene Neverfull this weekend, but wanted to poll the boss babes on this forum first - to get some additional feedback!

As of now, I carry a black and a tan Market Tote from Coach for work (which I happen to love, both for the durability, pebbled leather look, and price point), and my investment bags are all chain bags that I use on weekends (Chanel flap, Gucci Marmont, Gucci Dionysus). So I want to step my work bag game up!

The Neverful GM (DE) when I need to carry a lot (laptop, lunch, shoes), otherwise my Alma PM (DE), with an added strap. I live in a rainy city so the DE is my go-to year round. As others have mentioned, the NF strap really digs into your shoulder when you’re carrying a laptop.

But when I want a more polished look, I carry a leather bag, either my black Lockme II, or my light grey Balenciaga metallic edge city bag (which can fit my 13” MacBook Pro in a pinch). I also have a black croc embossed Vince tote for when I need to carry files or a laptop. See attached picture (photobombed by my kitten ).

I’m a psychologist and I use either LV Neverfull in DE or Balenciaga Patchwork Sunday to carry my MacBook, assessment books, planner, and papers. I also have used a tote from Prada (I’m not familiar with the Prada names too much, but it’s a leather bag they did a few years ago with ombré) but it is too heavy honestly.

It is discontinued so you would need preloved, but what about the Altona GM briefcase in Damier?

It is a top handle carry and is unexpectedly luxe. It definitely stands out as a boss bag. It is polished but not pretentious, functional, and the flap and clasp are substantial. Mine is off to LV repair land getting a new handle, but I would be happy to post pictures. I like it as much if not more than my artsy.

When I really want a professional, conservative look, I love the polished look of my Lockme II in noir. I am seriously considering a Lockme Cabas for a tote- I just wish it had feet. Neverfuls are great (I have 2 MMs and a PM) but for a truly "boss babe" meeting, a leather bag is a bit more discreet and elegant.

I love the Lockmeto bag - and that might be the next one I get after a canvas Neverfull (especially because I just bought the Coach Market Tote in black with gold hardware - so I want to get use out of that before I get another black tote bag). I've attached photos for reference.

I forgot to add hat when I want a more professional look I go with a Ferragamo Saffiano tote (don’t know the model name but it fits my 13” MacBook Air and is perfect for days when all I need is my computer, wallet and few small things). I used to use a Prada XL Saffiano tote which is great Bc it hold everything bt as a previous poster mentioned they are on the heavy side and the handles are for hand/arm carry, which is why I switched to the Ferragamo:

Since mine is in repair land, here is a sample pic. It really is quite feminine and roomy!

And in CA new handle and hardware clasp is $240, which makes a preloved a great purchase as they still can source repair materials and you will save a bundle. In my mind a boss bag that is designer, carries itself well, and functions like a workhorse is a win! Especially if it stands out from the crowd a bit yet isn’t flashy.

It is hard to tell, but the top dark brown leather world similarly to a lid and is very well built. It may get scuffed but I doubt it would ever crack as do some LV briefcases.

If you think neverfull is too common get a world tour personaliszed version, alternatively for the days that I don’t need to carry docs or laptop I use a speedy 30.
I much prefer to have all things in one bag
I like LV canvas for work because they’re lightweight and durable
