I don't think that you're crazy, but I wouldn't buy a bag unless I was willing to use it and accept the wear and tear that comes with that. So I would use the pockets, but if you aren't comfortable with that, then don't use them. It is your bag and you can use it in any way that you want to.

I wouldn't use it either... seeing those scratches on the buckle each time I look down at the bag would bother me majorly.

For those that do use the pockets - what do you find yourself putting in them? Is it a PITA to get in and out of them frequently?

I don't use them on my manhattan, after having tried it once or twice. And yes, I do think it's a PITA to get in and out frequently. I tried putting lipgloss in the front pockets and soon realized I needed it too often to get in and out without fumbling like a mad woman!

I'd use them! I have the Denim Baggy PM and the scratches are just surface scratches and you can barely see them. Even if you don't use them they will get it eventually
