I would say a cles would be great to receive as a GW gift. Also perhaps an agenda, or maybe a pochette.
What about the LVOE scarf, or something in Pomme Incusion?
I like the bandeau idea because they are one of the cheaper things at LV ($120) but I never use mine. Just admire it in it's box. So if she's not a tie pretty bows on your bag type of person it will be a cute gift but not something she'd use a lot?
Something I use a TON is my monogram porte monnaie rond. IT isn't a keychian since she doesnt like those and she already has something to hold cards. It is for coins for me personally so I dont have to dig thru my wallet.

Something that would personally cheer ME up would be multicolore! I love it and can't help but smile. But the price tags on that stuff is kinda steep.
