I buy a lot of cheapo bags when I could just save up my money and buy one really nice bag. I have always wanted a gucci, LV, or chanel bag. But somehow I always save up 300-500 dollars and look at quantity rather than quality. With clothes and purses and shoes all together. Here are a few bags that I have that I couldve saved my money towards my dream purse:

Kathy von Zeeland purse from TJ maxx 39.00
Franco Sarto purse from TJ maxx 39.00
Kirra purse from Pac Sun 20.00
Black random purse from Charlotte Russe 20.00

There is over 100.00 dollars right there that I could have put towards a good quality bag :shucks:

What bag purchase (say over 1k) do you regret purchasing? What do you do when you regret? Sell, give away? Also, what is it about the bag that you regret after buying...

I usually but something and then return it right away. I know that if I don't want to use it, I will regret it very soon.

Sorry if there is already a thread like this, didn't see one though. :)

Too many! Here are some bags I re-sold immediately. Great bags but not for me :)

Balenciaga:
Town and first -- too small
Pt-- too big and heavy

YSL:
Muse medium -- too small, didn't fit comfortably over the shoulder
Muse oversized -- too big

Chanel Cells tote: the lamb skin was too fragile

Chloe paddington - so heavy

Cherry blossom Papillon at the height of the frenzy. I know better! But I did it anyway! I bought it for close to as high as they ever sold for, and at least I was lucky enough to flip it before it totally drained of its value, but even so...it was bruising. I had a firm talking-to with myself after that. :shame:

It was a pretty and adorable bag, but completely wrong for me.

It's tricky b/c a lot of times (at least for me), it's not until I get home that I realize--Darn, that annoying buckle (Jimmy Choo Rhea), or Man, this is fragile (Marc Jacobs Park)!

Glad I'm not alone!

I need the *perfect* bag! LOL

Black patent VERY large Mulberry Roxanne---hated it----sold it on.

Metallic gold Mulberry Alexa------far too ostentatious for me-----sold it on----regret it now though !

Orange Mulberry Daria------didn't think it matched anything------sold it on.

Ah well just bought a Mouse Grey Mulberry Daria Hobo AND I LOVE IT ! 4th time lucky !!

I bought the LV Thames bag and as soon as I got home I knew it wasn't for me. I wasn't "in love" with it at the store but got caught up in the thrill of buying a new bag. Thankfully, I realized very quickly that it wasn't going to work for me and I was able to return it but boy was that almost a costly mistake/regret.

1. Mulberry Piccadilly for traveling. What was I thinking??? It gets super heavy! I'm seriously thinking of using it for storing wood blocks in front of the fireplace

2. Proenza Schouler Keep All. I purchased it over Internet and for some reason I thought the Midnight would come with g/HW but it was s/HW. Didn't look as good as I wanted. Never used it and can't return it.

3. A french local brand. Heavy cotton tote bag with rope in some kind of formation. Looked great in the store but when you stuff it, it kind of hangs weird. Not a good purchase but only around $100

*sigh* rebecca Minkoff Adore bag - too heavy and I need more room because I carry way too much stuff.

some hype bag that broke within 6 weeks of ownership! I will never buy their bags EVER again.

I really need to stop buying light colored lambskin bags. I LOVE them, but they dirty so easily I feel like I've wasted my money in about a week. Last victim was a stone colored Perlina Claudia. Trying to stay away!
