Hi cvalier26, been following you on VCA thread. Just my honest opinion, and knowing what I know now, I would not go for tiffany. I love the tiffany box but not the quality of product. For diamond rings, I would say yes but not for anything else. I feel like Cartier far exceeded Tiffany's quality. In saying that, I also think that the leger sapphire is too small and becomes lost in the neck. I think it's best if you buy the bigger size diamants legers. Hope I didn't offend you. X

Thank you, actually I was wondering about the size of the sapphire because the website doesn't specify it. I was thinking I would decide after seeing it in person.

Regarding Tiffany, I like the delicacy of their designs, I have no personal experience of a Cartier comparison though. All I know is that Cartier is more expensive!
And while I love the style of the tiffany diamond designs, I'm not drawn to one in particular. I'm liking the cartier orchid best atm, not sure about its value re the price.

Bumping my own thread:laugh: because I have a new love: the cartier orchid necklace:love:
What do you think? It's the mini size for the diamond version and according to the website it's 9mm. Both look lovely but the diamond would probably be more versatile?
Does anyone have this ? What are your opinions on it?

i love this necklace, its really pretty! i think you'll need to go try both on to decide what you like better.

If I got it I would probably get the diamond one because I would get more use of it.

I find it really pretty too (and really expensive:D), and I like the size, and I feel like it could be dressed up or down and be worn at 25 or 50, which I would want at this price point!

I know all branded jewelry is overpriced but what do you think of this one (the small diamond one) regarding its price? Is the price "reasonable" given the materials, it a classic Cartier design, is it easy to replicate? I like the fact that it's more original than the Tiffany solitaire and I **love** flower designs, but then again they're pretty common so is it something I coud get just as good elsewhere for much cheaper?

Cartier is not the only alternative to Tiffany!
Have looked at Chopard's Happy Diamonds collection? Some pendants are within your budget.
Thanks, Chopard doesn't put the prices on their website for some reason. Neither do Harry Winston and Graff, although the latter I'm pretty certain are way out of my budget:laugh:!

Does anyone know how much the small Lily cluster Harry Winston pendant costs?

If anyone has suggestions for small diamond necklaces in the same style as the ones discussed (dainty and delicate, flowers and animals are welcome but not hearts or bows), they are very welcome :smile1:

Yes, Chopard put their price on: you need to choose "English (online shop)" instead of "English international"

I've learned to always buy the original because you will get the quality and design you fell in love with. In my experience if I buy an alternative I end up spending more in the long run! One you go try it on and feel the quality and see it in person you'll know if it's the one or if you should keep looking at the VCA or tiffany options you've been considering!
